Hi all the resolve pages are already there to use I assume for development purposes. Though not all fully functioning. Do option command and k to get to the shortcuts then go to show page give each page a short cut. Save the shortcuts and then use them. Then pages appear gives some extra functionality. Such as fusion.
Those extra tools are there. Just go to the shortcuts menu, scroll all the way down, and assign those pages to shortcuts. Then click them and viola, hope this helps.
Just getting started with DaVinci resolve for iPad pro. I’ve been teaching myself video editing, and I’ve worked with CapCut, but I had recently decided to learn to use final cut pro for iPad. But now I’ve switched my focus to DaVinci Resolve because final cut pro on iPad doesn’t have smooth speed ramping. And in the end learning to use a more intricate program like DaVinci Resolve will give me more freedom and control in the end. I make gaming videos and I want to learn to make sniper montages with flow.
Thanks! I downloaded it immediately but haven’t had time to check it out yet but I am excited for it! I presume the “restore” option doesn’t let you “restore” your existing studio license?
This is incredible... Doing the less-fun stuff like sorting through clips, some of the things in fusion, etc. can be done while sitting in front of a tv or on the beach if you have good wifi. I will spend this summer sitting on my deck with an ipad and speed editor.
I download and upgraded to studio. DaVinci noob. Coming from LumaFusion and years ago, Premiere Pro on Mac. Now, I am 11” iPad Pro M1 . Looking forward to tutorials and any plugins that will work.
Which iPad are you using? I have a 11in M1 Pro and how seen some stuttering with your plugins. I expected this, but I wanted to see if you were having the same experience
Awesome! Looking forward to see it it develop. Could you do a tutorial kn how to use the cut page? I am used to the edit page and gave barely used the Cut page, so dont really understand how to use it.
Which is crazy because FC is an Apple product. Should be the “standard” on iPad. As you said, resolve is becoming the industry standard which is now include the iPad…
1. I would love to see you demonstrate the true power of tracking on the iPad. Isn't the first video editor with such a feature on iPad? 2. Is there anywhere where that shows the comparison of what the differences are between the free version and studio version?
I use it on M1 12.9 Pro. For now it's just okay, after I purchase a studio version as for now this is only platform I own i need to survive on my iPad Pro M1 chip as my main editing device, hope apple will soon release a Mac Mini M2 and Ill get one.
My da Vinci Resolve app started crashing after copying pip effect into template folder in fusion folder etc. After removing a pip file app works just fine, I use free version of Da Vinci Resolve.
Thank you for the awesome video. Couple of questions if you have the time: Does a current Studio license cover the iPad version or do you need to purchase that separately? Is it available for all iPad versions?
My speed editor dose not work with iPad version of DaVinci I updated the speed editor but it still won’t turn on it says it’s connected to iPad Bluetooth in settings but it won’t turn on or work , it dose work on full version on my laptop and desktop super frustrating
Oh man, I was so excited that I downloaded the app and tried to edit a short video… but I quickly realized that I have no ideia how to do some basic things, like detach the audio from video, how to change audio from stereo to mono… I’m so used to lumafusion that everything looks strange. And when I look to the color page I feel scared because I don’t understand half of it… so please, please do a proper tutorial for beginners
I am having a hard time finding Mark In and Mark Out on the iPad version. I would a video showing how to do a quick In and Out on the iPad and saving the project so it can be edited on the desktop version.
Great content like always! Can't seem to work with the Speed Editor on the iPad, it pairs and all but no lights come up and can't do anything. And what buggers me is that it's connected.
The speed editor will not work when plugged directly into the iPad. You have to grab the new resolve update, plug the speed editor into that computer, and update the speed editor which will then connect over Bluetooth to the iPad
Patrick, you're a lifesaver! Thank you so much, I was so pumped to get Resolve on the iPad and already finished a job there, it ran better than my Desktop PC. And know with the Speed editor workin'... game changer. Thanks once again man!
Hi i was trying to use the new tik tok v3 plugin when i went to speed up a certain portion I wasn't able to pull up the speed change options. Would this be because i dont have the full version or just a bug?
It crashes on my 2nd Gen 11” 2018 iPad Pro. It has the A14 Bionic chip. I’m not sure if it’s just my device or a support issue on my class of device in general. I should say I have 512Gb 11” model and I’ve never had an issue loading any other apps on my iPad.
Me pasa igual, lo descargue la primara vez y no me funcionaba lo borre y lo descargue nuevamente y funciona pero con mucho lag y es muy lento en mi iPad 2018, creo que debo actualizar a un iPad con M2
I want my keyboard customization :c Update if someone need it: I think that commands from desktop app wouldn’t work but, yes, they work!!! I import my keyboard customization as we do normally and that it, amazing :)
they said publicly when they announced it that the plan was to not bring the edit page to the iPad but instead beef up the cut page. They've got a vision they're building toward. they've acknowledge this new ability as a bug and they care too much about user experience to let people have access to broken features. They will roll out new development as they think it's ready.
