I was really surprised to hear it snowed that much.

I've dealt with enough snow in Lubbock and lived here my entire life. One can expect a few significant snow events every year. I have no problem driving in it, it just part of life here.

Dude im pulling my hair out here in Cali Los angels area, lived here all my life and it turns my stomach to see what they've done to my home state especially with the pandemic. Basically if you wanted to know what it was like to be black in the south during the 50's and 60's be unvaxed in Los Angels or San Francisco, it is f$%ken disgusting how Cali basically endorsed discrimination.

I now live in Rosenberg right outside Houston. Lubbock is getting just as bad as Houston in every aspect. It's ashame that Lubbock police don't care about all the bullshit going on there

Mostly depends on school district. To help with taxes (anywhere) be sure to file a homestead exemption!

@@livinginlubbock Because the situation that I was going to deal with required me to drive. Long story short, I traveled out there in hopes of rescuing a young woman from an abusive living situation. She changed her mind about coming back to Houston with me and it just made me feel like a failure.

There is no shortage of crime and gang activity. 41 homicides in 2020, murder rate has decreased a little since then. Still a pretty good place to live. The majority of killings are gang related.

I actually love this! It’s awesome insight. Thank you. I grew up all over U.S. with central Texas being the second longest area I’ve lived in. I miss the greenery as well (Lubbock is starting to improve on this. Exciting!) but the people are great and so is the overall city with a small town feel.

@Mario Mario Lubbock has always had that great potential even when things didn't seem like it. All it has taken is vision. This city is about much more than just Buddy Holly. It's a strong music city, and the addition of a new performing arts center will further enhance and strengthen that image and reputation. It also helps when a college basketball coach named Bob Knight gave a ringing endorsement of this city in one of his books. That had to have a big effect on a lot of people. Now, many new residents understand and see the potential Lubbock has to be a great city. There's still a long ways to go, but this community has seen dreams and visions become reality. If you positively promote your city to the rest of Texas and to the rest of America, then you'll see results like you've never known possible.
