Its a decent challenge but after moon 12 or so its just the same as medium.

@@pirilon78 probably just an oversight by the developer, it’s not like this is a big studio or a game that costs a whole bunch ($5). I’m sure they’ll do something about it in an upcoming update thou

Specifically what I saw happening was that if the last enemy in a fight was a slime, when it died there were no enemies for a brief moment, which ends the fight. The small slimes then spawn and only start a fight with one villager, leaving out the rest.

@@CamerHD Carrots, actually. 2 food and you can grow them as quickly as berries.

@@giaxo1739 but you only grow an additional carrot. A lot less food than a berry bush

@@moomoocow526 if you time the accumulate time it takes to grow both a berry bush and to harvest that bush vs. growing carrots, you gain food faster overall.

@@giaxo1739 you are collecting the berry bush while the next one is already being produced though. Unless I'm missing something. I nearly starved with ~7 villagers trying to do carrots and about 5 gardens. But the apple tree won out by a lot.

Yea my first thought was like “actually… using ANYTHING the game gave you would have prepared you… really?”

Not much, I got all the achievements and it is extremely barebones. Feels like an early access game. I frankly want my time back.

The other commenter is right, there isn't much else in the game right now, apparently it was a 1 month development project. The good news is because of the traction the game has gotten the developer is planning to update, with a first update coming in june.

​@@lillylyantha Yeah much of the game's enjoyment goes out the window the second you have it "figured out". I'll post my steam review: "Both rather easy and very tedious, it's especially annoying having any amount of animals as they push your cards around. I summoned the boss early when I only had one swordsman and militia but just kited him until I was ready. Welp big bang boom I got all the achievements. I still want a refund even though objectively speaking I can't claim to deserve one. Yawn, not worth your time."

idk about "should". You could certainly play more efficiently that way, but I did 2 complete runs of this game and I think my second run where I didn't use the pause was more fun. It just fit the vibe of the game better for me.
