I've got three Schicht coaches, two second class clerestory roof ones, like your restaurant car, with proper glass windows and a baggage car/brake of an older design, with a raised roof section and electric lighting. All three are banded as DR Deutsche Reichsbahn stock. The two passenger carriages have no lights, but the interior is made in translucent orange plastic, which catches the light creating an internal illumination effect.
While the DB model is a newer Piko coach, East Germany made quite a bit of stuff (not just toys) for West German mail order catalog companies like Quelle, which was usually sold extremely cheap.
