Don't Pull all the PEBBLES off the SHEETS!!! --- Do this instead to avoid lines

When installing pebble mosaics on a shower pan, one needs to pay attention to the lines of the sheets showing up on the finished install. To avaid this, many installers pull the pebbles off of ALL of the sheets. This makes the project take much longer as there is time involved in both peeling the pebbles off and placing them individually into the thinset mortar. But you can acheive the same results by placing full sheets into the thinset and leaving large gaps inbetween the sheets then place individual tiles in the gaps. This will make a seamless install and only take about half of the time that it would to take all the pebbles off the sheets.
If you are looking for a fast, dependable, stong and leak proof tile shower pan, I highly recommend Tile Redi products. For more information, or to place an order, go to my website here:

very timely video for me! I am a DYI'er doing my own bathroom renovation. we bought our stone from a tile store so the pattern seems a little better than the squares from home depot, but this showed my what to do if i need to get creative!

This is by far the best method. Thank you for this! I’ll be putting it to practice next week

Those tiles are great for filling any curved shapes you want to make and not have to cut a bunch of square tiles. I did my fireplace hearth out of them so it could be kind of a half oval shape, it turned out really nice! Def would have been easier with two people but I laid out all the loose filler stones ahead of time and did it in sections, not a problem. You make it look so easy!

Issac, I want to thank you and Sal for all the information. My brother and I did our master with a tileredi pan. The older version with epoxy. So glad you are behind the product, I saw how many pans you tore out and that is why I went with it. Thanks from Michigan!

It’s definitely the best option for premade pans. I trust it 100%.

My sister did this for her shower floor. It took a while to get the hang of setting the pieces, but she worked it out. Looks great. Also the rocks come off the sheet easier and cleaner if you use a hair dryer or heat gun.

Clever all around. Left alone the tiles keep the pebbles together and great for storage and transport; separated allows for a custom look.

I had to double check the open time on x77 after this video and it’s 60 minutes. That’s crazy. That alone makes me consider jumping ship from all set

I wasn’t sure…just guessing on the time. But it’s great mud for sure. Pricey though. I had it left over from those ceiling test we did.

Its the second time that your video asnwers a problem i have for the following day. Coincidentally, the pebble I'll be installing tomorrow looks exactly like that. it's from Dal Tile. I was debating rather or not to remove them from the sheets. This is a great idea. Thanks for all the tips

What would be the downsides of following this approach for the initial full sheets (still cutting edges), but instead of.doing the rest in individual pebbles, "tear" some full sheets into smaller pieces (e.g. in half) to start filling in some of the bigger gaps? Then individual pebbles to bring it all together. Would this work / speed things up, or is tearing a sheet not that easy of a thing to do? I'm just a curious homeowner.

That's a really good idea. Do you do that for all pebble mosaics?

Looks good!.... Nothing new for those who have been working with mosaic-mesh pebble products on pan or splash. I'm just curious if you look @ all your older videos that contradict your newer videos. Do you have to worry about the sharp edges created by using those biters/cutters since the rest of the edges are tumbled?
@jasonhamilton6721
@jasonhamilton6721 23 часа назад
I pull them off the sheets sometimes because if you notice a lot of times their is no space between the rocks for the grout to anchor itself into. The rocks are physically touching each other. Seems like a problem waiting to happen.

Are these pebble floors high maintenance?
@kalegallarde6369
@kalegallarde6369 День назад
Well you'll see the grid lines when there is no grout of course but it all depends on what color grout that's being chosen, for instance if they chose a charcoal color grout for those black stones the gridlines won't be noticeable at all
