The Green Bay Packers were aggressive in addressing their needs on their roster this 2024 offseason. During free agency, they made multiple splash signings, including our safety Xavier McKinney. A 2nd-round 2020 NFL Draft pick by the New York Giants, Xavier McKinney cashed in this offseason as a free agent. Xavier McKinney has been a position of need for the Green Bay Packers in recent seasons and his addition will help turn things around for the Green Bay Packers defensively. In the opinion of David Kenyon of Bleacher Report, signing Xavier McKinney was one of the best moves of the 2024 NFL offseason. David Kenyon ranked the move #13 on his top 25 list. While a potential-filled, young offense aims to develop around Jordan Love, the Green Bay Packers rebuilt the back end of the defense. They embraced a youth movement at safety that is focused on Xavier McKinney, who racked up 116 tackles last season and turns 26 in August. His 4-year contract has a pricey $67 million sticker, yet only $23 million is guaranteed. Xavier McKinney was one of those players brought in this offseason by the team at the position. During the 2024 NFL draft, the Green Bay Packers also selected Javon Bullard, Evan Williams, and Kitan Oladapo. That quartet will join Anthony Johnson Jr., a 7th-round 2023 NFL draft pick by the Packers who could be the only holdover from last season’s team. Despite his youth, Xavier McKinney is the elder statesman of this group, someone the younger players rely on heavily as they adapt to life as professionals. Heading into the 2024 NFL season, Xavier McKinney is a big part of the plans the Green Bay Packers have defensively. He is coming off of a monster season with the New York Giants, where he displayed incredible durability by playing every defensive snap during the 2023-24 NFL season. The Packers, who have sometimes been hit hard with injuries at key positions, hope that will carry over to 2024 and beyond. I think Bullard is another guy who can play slot as well and kitan reminds me of the old school safeties!!! BIG HITTER!! Will make every pass catcher over the middle NERVOUS af cause they KNOW he’s coming!! LOVE that pick in round 5!

We just watched the 49ers let there best interior DL walk, I want him back but the way the Packers operate he's gone..

Pay Kenny Clark. The Packers will get 5 years of top DT performance. Spread out the cap hit and maybe load it heavy early on the cap if possible to allow for big contracts for others later. There is no sure way to replace a top-3 talent.
