I decided to watch an inspirational video to help me motivate me to not give up studying but I am so tired because of insomnia, my insomnia is cause from stress, it gets worst when I push myself too hard. How can this spokeperson say to skip sleep when sleeping is really important for studying and memory? Not sleeping is causing me to fail

Just a tip if you have Insomnia make this; If you can't sleep at the first day, Don't sleep drink coffee till the 2nd day comes then you will feel very tired and sleep at maybe 8 or 9 PM so you can get back to your old sleeping habit

that is what I do... I am against naps and I sometimes I can't continue to try to sleep because of a class or my ride. I am tired because I don't sleep enough, and insomnia won't let me go back to sleep, I don't have problems going to sleep, I have a problem staying a sleep and going back to sleep, I will wake up 3-5 hours after so awake I can't even lay down in bed. But thanks for trying, I bet that tip will help someone else, but not every disorder is the same for everybody and we deal with it differently.

This video saved me. My parents are drug addicts, I bounce around from foster home to foster home. Only 16% of kids like me make it to college. But my freshman year of high school I found this video and it changed me. I challenged myself to make a future. I could not read in the 5th grade and had a learning disability. As I am now applying to several universities, I am graduating from a state- top ranked high school as an AP Honors student with a strong GPA, ACT, and outstanding resume. It truly doesn’t matter where you come from as long as you’re willing to miss sleep for your future.

Look, working your ass off shouldn't interfere with your health. I don't think anyone should lose sleep or not eat for the sake of your success. People should never put their health at risk. People should instead lose their addiction to check social media. That's one thing I'm guilty of.

I thought this too. I actually stopped watching the video after the sleep thing. I literally almost killed myself trying to put off sleep for like 5 years straight. Like I was sleeping between 2-6 hours a night for FIVE. YEARS. As a teenager. Yea, I was super successful, but now I am so f*cked up permanently. After that I basically turned into an artificial narcoleptic. I started passing out randomly. And it just got worse. Eventually I couldn't stay awake for anything. I slept for like 18 hours a day for like 5 months and I couldn't NOT sleep. I couldn't do anything about it. Now (a few years after that) I can only stay up late doing homework for one or two nights in a row then I'm gonna end up sleeping for 12 hours a day for the next week no matter how much coffee I drink. But in general I have gotten back on a semi-normal sleep schedule and I have continued to be successful (just not an overachiever). Please do not jeopardize your health just because society thinks that's what's necessary to be successful.

I have an Ochem exam in less than 20 hours, I didn’t study a single word yet, and I had 4 days to study. I’m just overwhelmed, but I promise y’all I will find myself back, I used to be the best student in my high school, Aced all my calc classes, but life and people kept putting me down till I got hopeless with any goals in life. It’s February 18th, 2019 today. I promise in 2022, I will graduate from uni with a biochem degree and get to dental school. I will come back to this comment in 3 years, and I will be so proud that I fulfilled my promise and potential.

this helped me soo much. I drink coffee at 9pm sleep until 12am and wake up to study until 4am and sleep for only 4 hours until 8am and study again. I bearly get enough sleep but when my results gonna come I'm goona be so happy with my progress. Every hour while studying I go for a walk around campus just to have my mind relaxed off the stress and recap what I have studied. One thing is study smart guys. there is a big difference between studying and studying smart

it is not about medical related or anything. if i sit in study room, then my mtnd is not working for study. then my day is over. i cannot focus on study. i really icannot do anything. my life is gpne. after two months i will find my result. if i failn in my exam my one year will be destroyed. so tell me what can i do? thats i commit suicide.

there is always a choice, if your mind is not working for study, don't give up. your brain is made for something-else. don't be afraid to do something that you are interested cause its your life, do something that's make you life happy, increase your skills in your interested field. never care about what other people will think and finally don't suicide for a temporary situation, be strong cause that's only choice you got

@@mugiwara5712 nearly 17 now and holy shit my english was bad. About the "exams" it went well , I did the homeworks but I was not as motivated as I was when I wrote that comment. As a teenager you just forget how important these little emotions are, like a few days ago I was thinking about something big and only now I remembered to do it. Anyway, the remaining path towards the final exam was ok not that motivated but still getting the shit done. And how I did ? Good, I got accepted to a nice highschool, not the one I wanted to apply for but as it is right now I enjoy everything about it. I actually think it's better this way haha.

I’m 21 yrs old and I’ve honestly never felt useless until this semester I’ve studied my ass off and failed tests to a point that I don’t know what else to do but this speech gave me a reminder that I can do it and I will graduate next spring hopefully I’m back in a yr and a half telling you that i did it I made it through chemistry even though these may be some of the hardest classes that I’ve ever taken love you guys

I really liked the: "You must be willing at every moment to give up what you are for what you will become." And, how you said if you're bad at something, take a class in it and fail the entire you, and then you can be better at it. Suddenly I felt like grades weren't my goal but growing and becoming a successful person, defined by what I know and can do, not by what my grades were. I anticipate that fading, but it's good motivation for me right now.
