Luke, you are Such a positive person. I love your vlogs, they give me Energy and positive vibes. And Im also very happy that you feel So good here in Poland, I wish you to always feel being here as if it was your second home. Wish you everything Best, peace ✌🏽
Psychological research shows that people are most pleasant and inclined to be nice , helpful is early in the morning and as the day goes on, people get more grumpy and less reasonable . If you want it ask for a favour, ask in the morning.
3:00 yes, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany are Central Europe (not only these countries) CET mean CENTRAL European Time which is available in Poland too so it’s Central Europe
@@djziomsuper przeczytaj dlaczego tam i we Francji jest taki czas, potem się wypowiadaj, poza tym granica Polski i Niemiec to mniej więcej środek Europy, więc Polska to wschód
I glad you mentioned about that "Central Europe" thing. I do travel a lot and often hear "Eastern Europe" which always upset me a little bit. Love your videos. Keep going.
@@kay19833 If you gonna watch polish tv you will hear quite often that “we are in center of Europe” or “we are in heart of Europe”. In fact geographical center of Europe is in Suchowola (Poland), at least one of them 😊. Last time when I was in Africa I even hear that we have been a part of USSR. Well no we never have been a part of USSR we just have been on the east side of the Berlin wall. Anyway I do understand why some internationals thinks about us in that way.
@@piechaczyk Listen, could you tell me where does europe begin and end? where are the borders? please don't deflect from the question, just answer it. secondly, where is Africa? is it a country?
@@kay19833 I do not feel authorized to educate anyone geography. You will not find an unequivocal answer. Unless you really ask about Africa i a country :)
The lady huging you, the one from slovakia . She said oh god, how tall he is and than she asked in her native tongue but slowly and loud enough to be understood by any foreigner ( i guess most people believe it should work ) - and here ( you are staying) for how long? Thats what i get. Slavic languages are quite simillar.
At first I thought she is polish because I kinda understood her but anyway Slovak and polish people can speak to eachother in Thier languages and still understand eachother quite easily :)
I continue to love your stuff! Thanks for great content, I can't wait to visit Krakow sometime in the next year or so. My family is from a mountain town south of Krakow called Zakopane, I hope you check that place out sometime.
Luke, have a nice days in Krakow. This Slovak woman told you, that you are very tall and she is very little😊And she asked you, how long are you here in Krakow. Slavic languages are very similaire. Bon week-end et à bientôt à ta belle video...
Luke, there's something - in my opinion - that's pulling you to Poland like magnet. What is it in particular,..? Wen your current contract expires, why don't you get a new one in Poland? You're such a nice person, there's no way not to like you. Polish isn't as hard to learn, as they like to say. I've learn it when I was 3 years old! So.., if I was able to get it, so will you. At least give it some consideration. Grits from Canada - Henryk
I come from Poland, been living in Australia for 5 years, and I can tell you I really badly miss those zapiekanki. And turkish style kabab. And all the choice of sausages.
Hey Brother you have let me down, but that’s OK. And yes the info helps me. I will be there next week, and it’s OK if I don’t see you but next year I will be there with a bang!
For a second I thought your zapiekanka is with bits of watermelon haha! Love your work! Keep it 100 (hope I used this one correct ;) Have a good evening Luke!
Great vlog Luke , You are doing good job , Krakow is beautiful and its good that you showing it and more than just a centre ...go to Zakopane and Tatra mountains as its most beautiful part of Poland !!
Last time I was in Kraków I went to this zapiekanki center :) for the first time. It was the only place I could eat something after midnight. This place was packed with people almost like Rynek Główny (old town main square) during the day.
You are so right when it comes to the early mornings in Krakòw. I often spend my mornings in the Planty with a coffee and it's so peaceful! Love your videos, and your polish is great (currently aspiring to be a fluent speaker of the language!) Anyways, great vlog and I love your mindset!
Hey Luke, the best vegan restaurant in Kraków is Veganic. If you’re still there, check it out. Other top tips, Sababa cocktail bar in Kazimierz also Boccanera is EXCELLENT. And don’t forget to visit the museum is contemporary art
I'm usually always on the street with headphones but in one ear With music Time passes me faster like that But with big headphones on 2 ears there is no doubt that it is something else :)
Are there any challenges paying for coffee, food, etc...? Other vlogs have mentioned that many places like smaller bills, but ATM's usually give large bills. So, I guess my question has a couple parts. 1. Do you use cash most places? 2. If so, are plenty of ATM's around or do you have to make a special trip on occasion? 3. If not using cash, are there ever any issues with card acceptance?
Luke. :) If we're talking about "don't say in Poland" - your "Wszystko dobrze?" is of course nice and kind BUT it sounds a bit strange. We use that question rather when somebody stumbled and fell or fainted and woke up etc. If you want be nice, just say "Dzień dobry" and if you really have to, you can also ask "Jak leci?" (how are you? / how are you going?). But beware, you can hear the moans. BTW: zapiekanki and pierogi are plural. So "one zapiekankA, please".
"Wszystko dobrze?" as a question is neutral and good, it can be asked to younger and older people and is not strange at all. To ask "Jak leci?" is informal and should not rather be asked to older people, as it might be awkward. So Luke does it absolutely right :)
@@piotrek1982x W sumie nie wiem czy to wszystko ma w ogole jakiś sens gdy najczęstszą odpowiedzią już na same "Dzień dobry" jest "Jaki on dobry, jak ja Pana widzę?". :P
Eastern Europe is not a geographic, but more a historic term, Eastern Block under influences of Soviets for over 50y. I'm a Pole, who 15 years ago moved to Taiwan, works for a US company, travels to 5 continents every year. This term exists in economy too. Western Europe is still more mature market. Poland, especially because of recent political situation became Real Eastern Europe again, despite of being in the center of the continent. I like Czech more. Safe travels.
Luke, like your polish ! When you are about chatting and you want to ask someone if all is good, then add "czy" sounds like "chee", before "wszystko dobrze" and you have a question. Or, just ask, jak sie masz ? sounds like " yak shee mash". (how are you) Though, the older generation in Poland is not used to being referred to as "you" instead of Mr or Mrs. So, with the over 60s and especially women it is always better to use the first.
I agree, go there in the morning is good idea. I was in Krakow 2 years ago and it was full of tourists same as my city (prague), but most of tourist going there to drink so they are sleeping to afternoon so morning city has absolutely different atmosphere without them 8:10 Slovaks detected :-D 10:35 - Czech beer sign on wall and you just keep walking, such a shame! :-D
To say that a city full of history, culture, breathtaking architecture or delicious food is visited by milions of people from around the globe to drink is a huge understatement, just saying 😉
@@HotSzejk Have you ever seen young German tourists? Maybe it's not too big problem in Poland, but here in Prague they are everywhere, they even don't know they can't drink alcohol on the street. They think Prague is some huge openair party club or what. :-) Maybe it's not too big problem in Krakow, I hope.
Luk...not jewish qater but old jewish quater or Kazimierz... Germans killed all jews but in Poland we try dont forget about them and them culture. But on this jewish quater U dont find jews now man...

Verquinn Do not be disrespectful. Nobody says for France just western europe. Besides, Poland is neither western, nor eastern Europe. It's central, so call it as it is.
