My dad started cutting on weight and took a turn to his life about a year ago. He started mountain biking. On the gym and eating healthy with the MTB still, he went from about 200 lbs to 160 something. I was inspired and since I was too young to go to the gym, I said, Dad, can I go MTB with you? Eventually, he bought me a brand new bike and we went on trails as a family and as a duo. I’m so glad to have a new passion with MTB now. It’s been so fun!
@@Tom-cn4cmbro sometimes small people ride big bikes because they have a thing called “skills” and/or balls and they ride a bike slightly big because finding a nice full suspension affordable bike with a lot of travel in the front and back for very experienced kids is next to impossiblr
@@Offbrandshirt when I was a kid me and my friends used to find some random woods nearby and make our own trails and jumps man. Plus there’s millions of other things kids could be doing for fun. Get outside and be active or you’ll regret it I promise that
Haha I wish we were rich! We work hard and are fortunate to have what we have for sure. The kids are having a blast, thanks for watching, have a great day as well!
@PorterMTB there's noting wrong with bring rich through hard work In comparison to many of us you are. But as long as you aren't greedy rich then it's not an insult
@@saturnhawk6115well tbf not really you don't know his personal life and just cause he spent probably like 2 grand on bikes doesn't make him rich means he spent his money smartly tho most people would waste it probably saved up for like a year to afford it and in his free time or day off went into a nearby hill area to ride with his son doesn't make him rich
@@funsimulator7246 It ie not really possibletobe too big for the 27.5 bikes, you need to be at least 190cm tall to be toobig for the S size 27.5 bike.
He will grow into it,slightly too big right now but that's okay. Shred on little guy you will learn how to handle the beast! 😁👍🤘🤘 I did the same thing with our hardtail.
Sweet! 43 years old next weekend, and I still have my first bike! It's a little 5 speed 20 inch "english racer" style bike, my father bought for me. Looks just like a mini Fuji 10 speed. It's so cute, I love it!
For jumps i use a full suspension with a strong spring and a strong damper to cancel out sny bounces and to soften the landing since the jumps i take have pretty rough landings
completely unrelated honestly though, you need a good expensive bike to actually **Get Good** at riding dont say otherwise, i have a terrible bike and all it does is cause me leg and chest injuries and dont say go to a bike shop, im poor💀💀
You've got a point, at a certain riding level the bike does make a big difference. I started out on a pretty basic inexpensive bike when I was a kid and worked my way up. Good luck and have fun!
Jeez the amount of armchair parenting is another reason why I should never read comment sections. Comment section gets an F for not being able to think beyond your tiny box. Ride on Owen!
Hahaha you nailed that one! It's funny, the comments on shorts seems to be a totally different group of people than the ones watching our longer videos, usually everyone is pretty supportive. We don't let it get to us, we're having a blast and living the best we can. Hope you have a great day!
What’s your recommendation on a 20” mountain bike? I’ve seen some great options for under $500 but there’s so many choices it’s overwhelming. Front suspension or solid fork, skinny’s or + tires?
Hey you probably wont see this but my sons bike recently broke and i was wondering if you knew what was best to get him he is 6 he weight 60 pounds and is 4.5ft and suggestion since i don’t know what bike he got since his mother got if for him and she recently passed away
