I love this teaching, I walk at least 3 times to 4 times a week 5 to 6 miles a day, when I stop and doing again I feel the difference in my speed and resistance. Now if I’am not walking I go to the gym. It makes me feel really good for the rest of the day. I’am 72 still working, go out with my friends at night. I have a lot of friends younger than me. I don’t feel old, I don’t think about my nombres..I love life. God bless you 🙏
Thank you for sharing your inspiring routine! It's wonderful to see how staying active and embracing Buddhist teachings has positively impacted your life. Keep enjoying every moment and staying connected with your younger friends. Your energy and outlook are truly motivating! 🙏 God bless you too.

If you ever listen to anything while reading comments, let it be this - go to borlest and read the book whispers of manifestation, then come back and thank me
I am 81 and love walking.Dont fall for any advice.TAKE YOUR OWN DECISION, based on your experience. It's true about everything--from food ,exercise ,social activities etc.
This is all good advice , however we have different needs . At 87 I have outlived all my friends , older and younger ones . I enjoy my independence and privacy , however there are physical limetations . So I enjoy my garden , all the trees I had planted in the past , my dogs and cat . Some times I paint . My children are doing well making a living . My 2 grandsons are on the oceans . Everyone fallowes there destiny . I wish that I could see them all more often .i have come a long way and I am not done jet . I am greateful . 🙏💙🇺🇸💙
Thank you for sharing your heartfelt journey. It's inspiring to hear about your fulfilling life and the joy you find in your garden, pets, and painting. Buddhist teachings remind us to appreciate the present moment and the simple pleasures it brings. Your independence and gratitude are truly admirable. May you continue to find peace and happiness in every day. 🙏🌸
I m 73, Allah has been merciful ,I stopped smoking 3yrs.back.Stopped morning walk, but started regular praying offering namaz five times ,which gives sense of peace & mild excercise. For me Allopathic medicine is tabbu.Lots water as required.Old age problems arise due to dehydration.Your video is very enlightening and a candle to spread light & saves from depression and negativity.
I do have good health at 77 and at 70 I thought I was at my end. A shock of a horrible heath report from my Dr. turned me into a health nut. I really don’t bother the Drs anymore but do use them for blood test ect. I really get a kick out of them not even offering me medicine. God guides me to good choices and he made us renewable, pretty much.
A couple of years ago I read a great little book on natural healing called ‘My Physician, Myself’, written by an older man who cured himself of a number of maladies without medical intervention. It’s available on Amazon and well worth the read. You might also look into the work of Luigi Cornaro, a Venetian nobleman who lived to a healthy102
no.1 yes. need to garden lightly, cook nourishing foods, water to drink, clean your house; art create and do crafts. the pleasures these give us, is immense...
I think what you said about increasing your mental activity as you get older was a revelation to me because normally as we get older we think that we are told to mentaly do things and that it is inevitable that we mentally deteriorate with age but you say we should actually increase our mental activity has been a major key.
I love your advice on aging adults, I’m 73 and soon will be 74, my husband is 73, I’m older than him for a year, I e have had all the surgeries, stroke 4 yrs. Ago but I’m a very active in exercising, I never quit my activities, though I went thru a 2 bypass, it made me do a lot of activity, been teaching my husband the things I do🤔I’m a positive person and we decided to retire overseas so our income will be enough🙏we are very happy and plan on traveling to US and back to Thailand then my home, I don’t want to cater with my kids that don’t appreciate us🙏thanks for advice🙏it’s so motivational❤️
All advice wisely put. Walking is my favorite activity which I did every day weather permitting. Now that I’m 72 I find I do need varied physical activity when I started having problems in one of my feet and sometimes have knee problems. Yoga, low impact aerobics, biking and gardening~
Thanks for your good health tips. I moved to a small island a few years ago. Now I feel like it was not a good idea. I find the lifestyle a little too slow and difficult to meet interesting people. I find my self doing many things alone. I walk 3 days by weeks. I gym out at home the rest of the week. I watch what I eat etc maybe I should join a gym to see and be more in contact with people around. 😊 Peace!
I am a new, I enjoyed listening to your post, and practicing your wisdom the best way, I am 70 and still working wiser and more efficient than before, thanks for sharing. 🙏🏻🤗
Yes I’m 72 I walked in the morning with my dogs ,community volunteering twice a week, social gatherings at least ona month. People said I look younger than my age.i always think positive
I am new.. I am 73, living a healthy and happy life..I do mild exercises, reduced walking long distances due to a knee issue, I eat heathy balanced diet, drink water, milk, tea n coffee etc. I practice spirituality, observe vegetarianism two or three times a week..etc..most importantly I feel young and people never believe my age…which makes me feel even younger..! I am happy to share this, and I enjoyed the video…thank you.❤
Buddhism has great teaching and education for me. My health has been an issue for me! Yet, I try to keep going! Holistic Health stands foremost, yet my mind remains my greatest wealth! I keep trying to keep going but try to be gentle in my joints! I try to employ or engage, and maintain my well-being! ❤
I am running 73 n these r the best days of my life. Detachment n reduced expectations makes happier times. Gratitude n Affirmations with deep sleep n a simple enjoyable diet makes everyday worth while. Karma plays its role. Be kind to yourself n others.
I walk every day. I eat well and belong to spiritual communities. I honor my friendships as sacred. I do some yoga postures and chi gung exercises.. Most importantly, I love myself, people and life itself. I enjoy my own company...I enjoy visitors yet am just as happy when alone. I can honestly say, I am happy. I am a young 81. I am still independent...I shop, I cook, I shower and still drive my car. I am grateful for every big and little things in my precious life.
This video in it's self is extremely depressing.. I'm 93 an walk 2 long walks a day,,I have lived alone over20 years. ,do my own laundry, cooking, cleaning, mowing a 3 acer yard , work a small garden & take care of 20 chickens . So I find my excellent diet & waking have been the answer to my good heart. Also I never go to a doctor!!!!
@rayrobinett8126 l love ❤️ how you live your life to the fullest! I wish l knew someone like you to meet regularly . You're so positive. 😊 l absolutely agree with you about avoiding drugs and quacks, but sometimes we need to check if our bodies are ok, like when l had abdominal problems and found out before it was too late that i had colan cancer which I had removed, but refused the killer chemo or radiotherapy after, or any medication 💊 which l never take! I keep kelthy in the garden and pool and with our animals. I hope 🙏 hope to keep chickens 🐔 when I'm older and don't travel so much. I've got a younger husband which helps keep me young also😅
Emotions and life style keeps u healthy and contented. No one but yourself is boss of you. I enjoy and love nature, wonder, having curosity acceptance, sweeming with flow of life and above all believe in destiny. So why to worry, go on living in your own way and style . Always listen to heart not the brain, a way to salvation.
I’m 80 and use Thai Chi for exercise. I also have added Wing Chun for variety. I see a MD for assurance as they can see problems before they can become serious. I also try to improve the Doctor with suggestions for having fun. They deal with lots of negative problems and need a release.. the positive effects make you stronger and helping someone is a beautiful experience.. Robert
For myself, I have my own agenda, light aerobic exercise every other day. One day of lifting light weights everything I put into my body I think of food mostly for the brain that way everything else falls in place I jump rope every three days keep me, coordinated, protein supplements After workout plenty of vitamin C complex. 81 years of age pulse rate 55 blood pressure 120/60 81 years old now. Anyone asked me how old I am I say I’m 50 years old +31 years of age anyway that’s my two cents.😊
IT DEPENDS ON INDIVIDUALS. I AM 74 AND I HAVE NO ISSUES WITH MY KNEES OR ANY OTHER AGE RELATED ISSUES. THANK GOD I AM CAREFUL WITH WHAT I PUT IN MY MOUTH.
Nice, I'm 78 yrs old now and my only exercise is sweeping the fallen tree leaves on the basketball court using the edge of the sole of my foot (Harai) , there besides I do squats as I pull up weeds from cracks in the pavement, I also walk on tiptoe to and back from the supermarket. I also do a few pushups on the knuckles of my fore and middle fingers. Not really a calisthenic program...but it its just enough to overcome my loss of sleep due to my hours and hours and hours of watching RU-vid...😱
I am 74 years old and I always pray for a healthy happy life and less worried because I am a diabetic patient with BP blood pressure and Arthritis numerous joints pain Please what life style that I should live meaningful life at this stage of life Adolphus

I’m New to your videos and enjoying them very much . I’m 85 but don’t look or feel like it . I’m originally from Germany we walked a lot , that was our way of getting around, I love to walk . I retired at the age of 82 from retail, not because I couldn’t do it anymore reason being I moved . The thing I’m missing the most is the interaction with people.
The information provided was articulated exceptionally well. While I may not implement every recommendation, I am actively practising several of them. Your instructional style is commendable, and I feel inspired to integrate these methods into my daily routine. The majority of the topics were comprehensively covered. I assure you that I will commit to these valuable guidelines. At over 70 years of age, I hold a firm conviction in the importance of maintaining good health. There is a saying, 'SAR SALAMT TO TOPI HAJAR.' Finally, please avoid unnecessary strain, and do not let your mind become cluttered; stay calm and have faith in God. The sky is not going to fall.🎉
Thank you for your sharing, i agree to reduce walking time at 70 years old and above. Now i am 81 years old , at 75 being transport problem i couldn't able to go to my Orchid where i planted 7000 trees including mangoes, Dendrocalmus Bamboos and small amounts of many other trees. So i practiced walking inside the 100 feet compound in my house.First 4/5 days there was no problem but after one week my left knee was arching, stopped walking practice a week and made again. The same problem is happening again and again. So is i stopped walking practice and changing physical practice to Tai-Chi for old ages. But when arrived mango harvesting time my children transport me to the Orchid ,I walked around over one hour everyday inside my garden looking every tree i say how should to prone and fertilize to manager. Strangely nearly 10 days walking ,i noticed there was no pain problem in my left knee. Though walking hours and distance are more longer there is no problem until 81 years old.
Hi while I respect all the teachings and sayings I have to say I celebrated my 89 th birthday in April my target is walking 10000 steps a day I am vegetarian follow Brahmakumaris teachings meditation and positive thinking have a spiritual life and also still working Everyone is different
Thank you for your insightful comment! You’re absolutely right, the principle of "use it or lose it" is indeed a natural law that aligns well with Buddhist teachings. By staying active and mindful, we can maintain our health and well-being as we age. Keep practicing and sharing your wisdom!
AT 77 i walk 5 miles in 90 minutes once a week. It takes 2 days to recover. The other days i walk 3 miles. I strech and do squats. Tigjt quads can cause knee pain. Look it up. Peace.
Thank you for this information, I m 70 and I have been incorporating some of these things into my life. Thanks again and keep this helpful information coming.

Thank you for your kind words! It's wonderful to hear that you found the session helpful. As we age, it's important to adjust our activities to what our bodies can handle. Buddhist teachings emphasize mindfulness and balance in all aspects of life. Finding new, gentle ways to stay active can be just as beneficial. Take care of your knees and stay healthy!
Socialising.... Though have the benefit of services coming home, free of cost, I go to market places, Banks, talk to people. Most are my juniors and they show a lot of respect, love and care for me, calling me 'aunt'( mashima). Am overjoyed when I come home. All this is done by walking in my neighbourhood and carrying things in my bags.... good for physical & mental health. Yes, I am lucky enough to live in Calcutta ( now Kolkata) in India, a place with no extreme climate, no hills to bother my knees. Even as I am writing, I feel the immense happiness with all that I have got and am able to do. Chandana Sarkar, aged 66.( F)

A great guideline to how to manage life after the golden age of 70. However, i still believe thst adaptation is dependant on individual lifestyle. Budha music is my favourite. Daily exercises of whatever nature, help tune your body muscles. At 72, i find hill climbs very useful test my heart muscles. Walking daily is as well helpful. Medical checks fantastic, but in Africa medical costs are prohibitive. Overall, byour guideline is great - thank you.
This is my first time being with you and l found it very much educative and helpful in getting out of my little mistakes. In my 70 + Thanks for your assistance.
I'm a new member n love to hear more wisdom shared ..sense of belongingness n being valued..be more loving n sensible to the needs of others n being grateful always 🙏🩷
Yes; I find that when i intake good quality oils, without cooking them to my food. It help too lubricate the knee cartilage and reduce friction. The oils that i use are: A good Olive oil, a special Amond oil that is not use for cooking, and Safflower Seed Oil. These oils are helpful to your joints. Remember not to cook them.❤ I can walk 4 miles every other day with no pain.

My husband threatened to kill me, so l sneaked off when it was convenient for me, transferred my job to another store 100 miles away, same company, lived with a girlfriend there, started a new life, no regrets! It can be done and is so worth it! I am 69 yrs. Old now! I have had a happy life since l left! I have never looked back! I am grateful for every day of my life! Thank you Lord!🎉❤

*Incredibly enlightening content! 🙏 The idea of reducing walking while incorporating a balanced diet and mental exercises is brilliant. The real-life example of Mr. Jon and the emphasis on a holistic approach to health truly resonate. This video has given me a lot to think about in terms of how to adjust my lifestyle as I age. The combination of practical advice and Buddhist teachings is both inspiring and practical. Keep up the fantastic work!*
