Many people use the GrubEx granular product and have success with them. I use the Imidacloprid because I found it on sale a few years ago and I have some left. It really comes down to budget and what you like to use. Great question!
I have been using magical too from JG, haven't tried sulfur yet. I am curious to see the results, may need to switch to sulfur next season if this works well.
Hey there, quick question. I just moved into my first home down here in Indy and my lawn, which is mainly tall fescue, needed dethatched bad. I just got done yesterday and I'm looking to fertilize it this week. I have a few bare spots that I wanted to level with sand/topsoil and add Kentucky bluegrass seed to, but every fertilizer I found says not to use it until the seed has been mowed a few times. Will fertilizing with a Lesco 20-0-3 Weed & Feed help fill in my bare spots & I skip seeding altogether, or do I have to seed first and wait a few weeks before fertilizing? Any products you recommend to help? TIA!
If you opt to level and seed, avoid the weed n feed product or any herbicides until you get the new seed established. You can use mesotrione at seeding if you want to control weeds and still seed - just be aware it will temporarily bleach weeds and make them white. If you are going to wait on seeding until fall, it would be OK to use the weed n feed and focus on feeding the current grass with plans to overseed in the fall. Thanks for watching and good luck with your lawn!

Below is the link to the video I did earlier this spring showing the results of going 100% Turf Titan last season. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rJ4a7VqKniQ.html
I agree, but sometimes it is a necessary evil. Getting the PH down is something that has helped me considerably in pushing the lawn in the right direction. Thanks for watching!
Thanks George! I'm going higher this year based on the recommendation from RX Soil and I am trying to aerate it down into the soil. I figured why not since what I have been doing isn't moving the needle much haha. Thanks for watching! 🤜💥🤛
Good stuff - I need to bite the bullet and buy some of that sulfur. I too have been using the magical and it is pricey. Wish I could find the sulfur locally, but if it works I will have to get some of that stuff you use. Thanks for the info 😤
