Favorite feat: in "Cooking with Emiya" he gives Shirou fish to cook for him then when he gets to Shirou's place he throws his stuff on the ground and immediately plants himself infront of the Emiya TV. The literal disrespect.
Funny thing about Cu in Cooking with Emiya is that he most likely was portrayed as a very good-willed but annoying and disrespecful person from the point of view of a Japanese person. He also curses a lot and steals women's hearts. What's not to love?
@@wrought-ironheroEMIYA He got her by suprise by unveiling a NP he should not have and Scathach didn't saw before. (But since Scathach is basically immortal/or close to it, it only forced her to back to her realm to heal. The rest of the fight was pretty much even. (Altough the double gao bolg just negating eachother was kinda stupid, it should have went through and killed both of them or at least wounded them considering gaobolg has a bad track record of actually doing the instakill it supposed to do lol... And ofcourse it also brings out the question why Scathach gao bolg didn't simply overpower Cu berserk one, since Scathach has a older generation version of it... FGO (altough you could say this over the whole typemoon as well) is weird when it wants to follow it's own rules or not xD
Cu alter is a straight up demon, there's a reason why his bond CE is called One Man War. and he's still my top choice for berserkers (save arjuna alter for personal reasons) in FGO.
Who sleeps on Cu anyway? This guy in lore managed to solo an army and even In death managed to still beat them. In the Grail war he has the ability to essentially finish it with assassination on every master but I think he won't do it that way, he wants to fight as a warrior and die as one. Managed to stall Gilgamesh for half a day, you can make an argument that he has protection from arrow but there's only so much you can deflect it with that plus Gil can initiate a Omni directional attack and obliterate you, heck Hercules didn't even last even an hour against Gilgamesh and he has the most broken noble phantasm in God hand.
Trust me, a lot of people do. Especially on the internet. And it doesn't help that a lot of people who get into fate through fate grand Order just see his three star rating and automatically assume he's mid.

Lore Wise Cu is like one of the most effective and Powerful Servants anyone can summon, he just had a shitty luck of a Master in the form of Kirei but if it was his original Bazet than he would be more powerful in terms of Stats.
I’d say Sigurd and scathach are much more powerful and much more effective options neither even need to be powered by their masters because they can produce mana from just breathing ( Sigurd) and scathach can use runes and gain territory creation to give herself any mana Not only that but their basically casters Rama is also capable of triple classes as a saber and if he’s an archer he’d be stronger than karna and archer
@@amari7782 I don't know about Rama considering how most Indian servants are extremely mana heavy and Rama's saber form is rather weak compared to what he should be His full powered form would probably be a beast but also like I said mana heavy Scathana wouldn't work since she can't be summoned I do agree with Sigurd though but I'd choose Cu because it's much more likely that the lancer class is open in a war since everyone wants saber and Cu himself can act as a pseudo caster
@@Recon-601 literally the only mana taxing Indian servant is karna. Every other one isn’t that bad and rama as a saber is strong enough to fight both Arjuna and karna not to mention pseudo gate of Babylon is incredibly powerful even with his A rank divinity. Sigurd is the next best option compared to Artoria so getting him is honestly just as big of a win
@@WildArtistsl probably not because she is immortal and in the land of shadows so shes still living. Technically the only reason she is in FGO is because the land of shadows was destroyed by the incineration of humanity but she herself was still alive
I'm still like 90% convinced that Grand Berserker is just Warp Spasm Cu. I mean, even a Grail powered, full strength Cu Alter said he had no desire to fuck around with a legit Berserker Cu.

I just went through Cú Alter's voice lines and he never mentions anything about the real Berserker Cú Chulainn. "The real Cú Chulainn? I guess if he was the light, then I would be the shadow. Switch me out if you have a problem with that." Bond Level 3 "I could never act like that. Not that I would want to." If you have Cú Lancer "Normally, if I were summoned as a Berserker, I would turn out pretty different. But from what I remember, the raged-out me is probably the world's biggest good-for-nothing. I hate that my dog Cu gets shafted so much in this series. He's one of the most powerful servants in Ireland and yet Nasu is still turning this man into Kenny from South Park. It's really starting to get old. This is why I wish Type Moon would do OVAs for the stay night origin history for their lives before they became servants to show off their full power and characters
@@jacobjensen7704 I wouldn't say "without breaking much of a sweat" cause he was going all out against him but Archer still held his ground. Though he was definitely the winner of the fight (ignoring the fact that Archer didn't go all out).
I hope one day cu gets summoned as the main Saber in a grail war. As the protagonist’s servant proceeds to body half of the servants without any issues. Then gets a much deserved W.
I'm always amused as Cu Lancer in the FGO game is always referenced as the 5 Star hiding as a 3 Star by the community, to the point that the fact was referenced in some out take/non-cannon type stuff, especially in the first year of the game. Even now, despite a lot of power creep from newer servants, a fully grailed Cu Lancer is useful, especially since you're still only paying a 3 Star cost. Shame he got so shafted in a lot of the visual materials, and pretty much all the routes :( That said, if you've never seen it, give the Today's Menu for the Emiya Family anime chance a shot. I think it is supposed to happen after Fate/hollow ataraxia, so all the spirits got incarnated and just kind of hand out. Cu getting to live as a regular guy is still an awesome thing, plus he and Archer still have their friendly? rivalry going. Cu is definitely one of my favorite Fate Characters!
Bro some of the Cu solo's in fate are ridiculous. He's an insanely good 3 star who can keep up with most bosses in the 1st Part of F/GO. He's not as good against Lostbelt and beyond but he can solo the Tawara Touta fight in Gilfest at lv 70 comfortably, I remember spending soo much QP to max his guts and evasion skills so I could do it with him. Heracles is cool but it's the 3-1 star solos that I love. Lv 100 Sasaki Kojirou is my fav to watch. A 2 star assassin beating Goetia is hella fun to watch. That and Leonidis vs Tristian in Camelot. So much cool fanart for that solo. And speaking of Cu, I really wish they didn't lock Setanta (Cu lily) into being a Arcade only servant. Prototype is good and all but I think little Cu is cooler.

I'd like to think of luck as something akin to plot armor. and since he was summoned in Japan, a land where nobody knew his legends. He became a nobody in the plot (hence, no plot armor). A hero without luck always goes too soon.
Did him completely curbstomping EMIYA 2x (in UBW and in FGO) not enough? Even in FSN when his master was against him and Kirei using that stupid CS he was always on a winning position and even in his first fight against Saber the could've just throw another GB
Cu is my all time favorite servant, with Artoria and Muramasa also being really up there, sharing the same voice as Minato from Naruto does help a little The fighting for 12 hours thing still blows my mind
Muramasa doesn't have the same VA as Minato. Minato's VA is Toshiyuki Morikawa (VA for Ashiya Douman) Muramasa's VA is Noriaki Sugiyama (VA for Sasuke).
Cu became an underdog favorite of mine after the UBW route. Stabbed in the heart? Gets up, and kills Kirei. Shinji being creepy? Gets up and pokes him making him run like the pussy that boy is. Dying, but want one last hurrah? Burns down a castle. First time I saw this I just kept wondering if this man would ever die, and he kept saying, “Not yet.”
Tsiah just gave Cu the same rank (A) as Gorgon. To put it in perspective, the latter was treated like a giant boss encounter that required an entire party in Babylonia. That’s pretty high praise.
Yea and since Cu was known for killing many monsters in life he has the anti-monster trait. He's kinda like a hard counter to medusa and other monster servants.
As an Irish person who’s versed in Irish mythology the franchise really missed a beat not having him have a berserker form. In myth Cu Chulain had the ability to transform into a hulk like form that lost all reason and just smashed everything in sight, it took an entire army to eventually take him down and he tied himself to a rock so he could continue fighting while his legs stopped working while he was dying. He is far and away the greatest warrior in Irish mythology
Damn it, now I WANT them to do Cu vs. Gil because come on, TWO times we could have seen that, but the writers are like nope. There is cockblocking and then there is this like geez. At least his track record is not AS bad as Medusa's and at the very least, Cu is still a bro and good servant overall.
from Gil's expression, a fight with Cu was the most enjoyable fight he got in the 5th grail war. Cu is full of surprise, which would definitely intrigue him. (We know Gil is just a curious troll who enjoys seeing stuff, like us audience). In both Deen and Fate Unlimited Codes adaptations, he got bonded by the Chain of Heaven in the end, this only ever happened to him, Iskandar and Heracles, because the Chain of Heaven is his most trusted weapon, and he wouldn't show it to anyone who's unworthy. Even tho he didn't take the fight seriously (not even put up his armor), but Gil respected him more than Heracles and didn't torment him at all. He just ended him swiftly after binding him. In Fate Unlimited Codes, only Cu and Heracles got to be finished off by Ea in his ultimate move, everyone else just got Gate of Babylon.
Leaving some informations, for the sake of comparison about the whole Cu and Medusa thing Cu has better speed BURSTS, while in normal, consistent speed Medusa is still superior As for their eventual fights, remember that Extella is a story where armies are involved, it's not about a 1 vs 1 battles. The line might very as well imply that the moment Cu joined forces with Hakuno's army, which is already good on its own, Medusa's group was truly hopeless. Type Moon co-creators stated that Medusa has a higher chance of winning due to Cu's terrible magic resistance while Nasu says that it will be a hard fight for her, not a hopeless one. Of course that doesn't change the fact that Cu still is an absolute monster and that he shouldn't be underestimated.

@@WildArtistsl Extra CCC is basically a branching story route from Extra where the Moon Cell HGW gets derailed during one point and the characters are taken to the Far Side of the Moon. Nasu describes it as the "Heaven's Feel" of the Extra series.

@@Tkyoking Only way achilles is winning that fight is dueling field, gae bolg negates achilles invulnerability. Not only that, divinity alone negates achilles' invuln. All achilles has over cu is speed, but cu can tank trojas tragoidia with his runes. I'd say 70/30 cu. Causality reverse is some serious bullshit.

Technically Cu COULD use his Runes to get Gae Bolg strong enough to kill Heracles but God Hand would revive him so he wouldn't stay dead true but it would still count as a kill
He could for sure. But he would have to go all out. Ruins on his spear the entire fight and just buffing himself the whole time. Like he survives against gil for 12 hours so he could easily hang with herc. So like if they are fighting for hours you think cu couldn’t manage 12 kills? He could use gae bolg 7 times off the bat and he only has to worry above five lives if he wanted.
Cu Chulainn lowkey gets the genos treatment in this series were he’s actually really strong but is so unlucky that he always fights the top tiers in the verse
Fun Fact: Its been stated that there's a stronger Cu as the original Beserker and that if Cu Alter fought that version, he would lose, making Cu a bigger monster than what he is now.

@@giladmachluf3663 I was making a joke about how metal Celts are. Point is, Lancer Cu doesn't have Warp Spasms otherwise it'd have come up in any of the three routes, FGO, or the wiki. The vein thing is just dramatic emphasis.
My Boy Cu has always been my favourite servant only tied by Emiya. The series did him so dirty until FGO came out. Which let us finally get to see him for the awesome badass character I’ve always known him to be.
Cu (lancer) is a perfect example of a servant who looks average at best, going from reading his statlist but is lorewise on par with the best of the best. Ofcourse this somewhat applies on any servant from F/SN, who was written during that period. Especially when compared to servants in later works. F/SN got power( aka writing) creeped xD
And we still haven't gotten his warp spasm from legend that turned him into the Irish Hulk (unless you count Alter's Curraid transformation, but it's described very differently).
He's 1 of the strongest Servants with super hax NP that reverse the concept of cause-effect, 1 shot/sure kill move. Was overwhelming Emyia in their 1st match while holding back, being able to survive vs Gilgamesh (who's the strongest in the anime versions of Fate besides Tyamat and Grand Caster Solomon (at the very least)) for 12 hours He even gone out in style burning the building with him and Kotomine being inside Probably my favourite in the Lancer class including Enkidu
Out of all the servants in the fate series, there are three that I would definitely want either one as my teammate, first is baeber of red mordred, second is the versatile Emiya, and third obviously is the dog beast himself cu chulain.
I know it won't happen but I would have loved to see an alternate timeline where Bazett and Cu actually get a chance to fight together. The Stay Night grail war is still very stacked but I definitely could see them proving themselves as grade A badasses if they had actually got the chance to work together.
Bazett might actually be more of a weakness for Cu. If they had to fight Caster and Kuzuki, Bazett takes a big L against either of them. Cu didn't really need her to deal with most of the servants in the 5th war already and his biggest threat (Herc) wouldn't go down just because of Bazett.
After about a year of off and on work, I about got my blue doggo fully leveled up with all the Noble Phantasm upgrades. It's been a lot of work, but a strong doggo is a happy doggo.
I want a proper adaptation of the Saber route by Ufotable. And hopefully they show us a glimpse the Cu vs Gil fight, because iirc Deen made Cu lose pretty quickly
Fate has a borderline disrespectful way of nerfing servants...bad masters (rider),faulty summons (saber) , classes (all, servants) and bad personality traits (gil)...
@@TsiahIV I will never post spoilers. I only tell people where to get info and let them decide whether to peruse it or not. On a side note, this video helped me understand why Emiya didn't die to Cu's NP.
Deens Stay Night really cheated us out of what could've been Cu Chulainns most glorious fight! Ufotable or Cloverworks NEEDS to remake a faithful adaptation of it, Cu and all of the other characters deserve it!
