Green Hill isn’t Sonics birth place. Sonic was born in a place called Christmas Island (read the Japanese manuals). Sonic 1 is his first and last time canonically being there before Generations took place and Tails has never been there before because he lived on West Side island before meeting Sonic. South, West side, and Angel island used to be one whole continent before the Echidnas messed with the Emeralds and pissed of Chaos. Constantly going back to these places does the opposite and makes Sonics would much smaller than it actually is. It’s not supposed to be consistent. The Earth in these games is a mix of realistic and cartoony settings inhabited by humans and talking animals.
Nah Mike pollock is still valid, he already explained in a live stream what’s been happening and giving explanations. I still respect him and I understand his side.
Wait, whats wrong with Mike Pollock. He's the best Eggman there's been. Is it because he's been Eggman since Sonic X, effectively making him an Eggman thats voiced the character for two different Sonics
@@ImJustColeYTthat’s on Mike if he’s gonna be the next mark hamil and wanna put his political views over being a loving voice actor who brings characters to our screens that’s a loss on him
I’m replaying the generations story before I dive into the shadow stuff and gotta say as someone who used to play generation’s religiously back in the day. It feels like coming back to an old friend. It’s still just as fun now as it was all those years ago.
I'm shocked that nobody's talking about the fact that the remaster actually straight up plays worse than the original somehow. It feels the same 90% of the time and then something odd will happen once per level to sour the experience. The tire screeching sound effect randomly playing (it legit just plays when I have my finger off the analog stick and ONLY pressing boost and going forward, it's completely random), the first Red Star Ring of Chemical Plant Act 2 is still easy to grab as ever but Sonic consistently gets sent to the left of the platform after you ride the hook around (I ALWAYS alligned it perfectly in the OG which I literally replayed last month, I legit haven't been able to align it in the remaster yet), Sky Sanctuary Act 1 now has actual broke segments, it is the first time ever after dozens of plays through the level (after a 100% on PC and a 100% on XBOX for the OGs) where the clouds at the end of the level are inconsistent in whether they'll work or not work. Sometimes you'll run on them and they'll bounce you off, other times Sonic will walk through em and fall off the stage. It never happened before. I got one such story for pretty much every stage in the remaster, it's insane.
Had a few bugs but one of them that was note worthy was the fact that the end of sky sanctuary was invisible, my guess is I skipped a loading trigger and the rest was invisible
@@clapitzme In Act 2, right after the section where you're asked to quickstep a bit? That's indeed a loading failure, it was present in the original as well unfortunately, an inconsistent bug that prematurely ends good runs. Unless you found something else further on the level.
Sonic Unleashed is pretty obviously the most AAA Sonic game ever. Also the PC Generations not running gotta be an issue of your PC... That sounds mean. Not wanting to be. I'm just pedantic and autistic. Also them not knowing the locations is because until Forces and Mania, they've literally never been to those locations more than once
I always enjoy Sonic 4(still think that its mediocre tho) Also, that skill can be used in speedrun, if used in smart ways(i saw some speedruns that involved using the Homing Attack, for City Escape and Speed Highway, i believe)
As someone who became a fan because of the first movie and has only played Sonic 1,2 Cd(on mobile) and secret rings I’ll definitely check out this remaster. Loved the vid Cole
I mean lets be real i heard it somewhere but it makes sense for sonic and tails not to remember the name of those places as they were given to us by sega by name just ro make them more memorable and for sonic and friends its just another hill or city they visited before and for the most part never again
I meant to but I forgot and honestly, I realized it was kinda useless. It's good sometimes but they nerfed it so it's better to use the regular Spin Dash. I'm glad it's in the game tho
One thing that made me pretty mad was the drop dash for classic sonic is a skill meaning that basically it can only be used in base levels, no missions and no hub world, while modern sonics drop dash is just a part of his move set rather than it being a separate skill
@@Karianysu read the Japanese game manuals. Sonics was born in Christmas Island and every character bio he has after that states that he’s always on the move and doesn’t stay in one spot. He’s always heading towards a new destination. At the time generations came out it had literally been 20 years since green hill has been in a sonic game.
Btw I think the reason most of the jokes were removed is because how sensitive people are with anything nowadays Like the scene where knuckles called classic fat I bet some people would’ve got offended saying “ThAtS fAtPhObIc” people are just not the same as 2011
@@ImJustColeYT Or maybe the guy above is right, and you have the attention span of the average Tik Tok kid like 90% of people who ''dislike'' the Warehog? Just a observation though.
@FrenzyStudiosYT you say that, but anytime that something more than an ant appears on the screen, the soothing night time music stops to play that battle theme for the 7,000th time
Really hoping we get a lot of different voice actors before long, some of them (cough cough Karen Straussman, cough cough Pollock) are just not great people, and in Straussman's case just not really performing all too well imo. Other's aren't bad people but I would just really like to see some changes, Rodger has never really sounded like Sonic to me, it was the first time as a kid I noticed a voice actor change.
Because they are terrible people 😶if you know you know To be clear, just Mike Pollock and Karen Straussman are the only ones that are terrible, Mike Pollock especially
@@ImJustColeYTAlmost everyone is good at their jobs, it literally shouldn't matter. If they're good on the mic that's the end of it, they can say whatever they want off the job. Leave people be.
I think there is usually a good line on that mindset, for example, I don't like that Scott Cawthon supports Donald Trump. But that's not something I care about to the point where I want him off FNAF but what Mike Pollock said yeah get him the fuck away from this franchise
