The thieves were actually noted as thanking Roosevelt for arresting them proper as he was entirely capable of just killing them and no one would have been around to stop him or punish him for the action. @Darasilverdragon
@Darasilverdragon 2 года назад
@@DistractableHermes Name one major national leader who wasn't clearly insane in at _least_ one way? If you're struggling, that's because it takes a very special kind of person to not only desire the highest rule of the land, but actually go and claim it - and that kind of person typically isn't what the rest of us would call 'well adjusted'
@nonapplicable6619
@nonapplicable6619 2 года назад
@@DistractableHermes I don’t get what you’re saying bruh. I can understand the sentiment of some thinking that Roosevelt was a nut job. But this story does not showcase that. They stole his property, but instead of killing them he puts in extra effort to make sure they get fair trial. Seems pretty level headed tbh. I mean they stole his stuff (something that was essential) and the weather conditions were really bad, so wanting justice seems pretty reasonable.
@SpeedBoostTorchic
@SpeedBoostTorchic 2 года назад
@@DistractableHermes That's a bad take. The reason they thanked him for not murdering them is NOT because Roosevelt had a history unstable behavior.
