I grew up with these songs and “the voice”. I eventually watched the video documentary which tells the story of your own journey into the band. It still inspires me to this day, considering your unique combination of talent and courage. Of all the biggest bands from famed American classic rock, I think this seat would probably be the toughest to fill, simply because of the sheer massiveness of the original singer’s sound. But you not only continue to pull it off, you do it with your own unique Filipino kindness and spirit. I now have a girlfriend/ fiancé from Manila, and I’ve visited her 8 times there, so I can honestly say truly know the spirit of your culture. And that’s why this Manila show is so wonderful for me to watch. For me (after growing up in the 80s here in the US, being a lifelong avid musician myself, AND knowing the spirit of Filipino culture)- this makes you a massive inspiration for me personally. So, Salamat po, for the sounds, A.P… and please don’t ever stop believing in yourself. Because.. despite all the American criticism that you’ve bravely faced, we all know the great fact. There is only one person who could’ve pulled this off, and the band was smart enough to give you the job (very good decision). I couldn’t imagine a better singer to front the band, and I know plenty of us Americans agree- especially we American musicians who listen- not only emotionally but also technically / critically- to your sound. sana makilala kita balang araw, sir
