"Why OPTIMA over BMW/Braille/Antigravity? A few key factors make OPTIMA our battery of choice. The first is OPTIMA uses 100% virgin lead for the highest level of energy capacity and performance - the recycled stuff goes into other brands. The OPTIMA also packs more lead into the same H7 package for example - it's like having an S58 engine that was underrated on the spec sheet and makes more power at the wheels on the dyno than BMW said it made at the crank. Finally, since most battery failures are internal at the weld points, OPTIMA has a unique process that casts the internal bus bar straps onto the storage plates/cells to make these super durable. At this time, the OPTIMA Orangetop Lithium is not released for the automotive market. What makes these batteries unique is the highly-advanced BMS that protects both the car and battery that other small lightweight aftermarket offerings don't have (This is unlike the full-sized BMW Lithium battery offered in some M Cars). @BimmerWorldMedia Thank you for the detailed explanation 🙏. I will look into them in the future. The only thing I dislike about the bmw battery is that they are heavy. The other reason I was asking its because sometimes I can find them slightly used at no cost, "so why change"?.
