The monkey is barely skin and bones, and they deprive it of even the most basic self-comfort. Watch the little guy cringe and whimper as its owner chastises it. It never makes eye contact. (It makes me wonder what they do to it AFTER they turn the camera off.)

as a pet, I can kinda agree with this sentiment. I am an animal. Lover so I don't wish them harm, just in the wild where they belong. When domesticated, They are extremely co-dependent, Greedy, Easily jealous, That jealousy can sometimes turn Violent. Even towards the very young, They do nothing but eat and steal, I literally watched an adolescent one who had a handful of fruit, go ou 0:17 t of his way to steal the one piece From a two day old baby's mouth. Then proceed to bite it when it Whind and screamed. And when mom came in, He tried to warm up to her. But mom saw Pushed it away, trying to comfort the baby, It then proceeded to lose its shit and Try to rip the baby from mom's arms, Biting at its feet his hands and head. God don't even get me started on the babies, They can't literally be moved an inch without screaming bloody murder. I'm just speaking for me when I say it's just too high maintenance

Sucking their fingers or toes is not natural monkey behavior. Baby monkeys have died from infection that sets in when they suck their thin skin. Pacifier or bottle nipple if necessary but they need not use their digits (or genitals, as some do)!
He hit him, that's the only way he would stop like this, he knows when he puts it in his mouth he's punished and it hurts. That's not discipline that's abuse.
You don’t have to hit them for them to understand the difference when it’s ok to do something and when it’s not! You’d be surprised at how quickly they can learn things! Being repetitive with a change in your voice and pointing at them is key! I own a 6 month old male mac that I got here in the US when he was 2.5 weeks old! I was very surprised at how easily they can learn things! Also, if he had hit him the monkey would’ve flinched when he went point, then went to pet him!
@@c.c.1070 Yeah there very smart but he hit him. They need affection at that age, his thumb sucking is insecurity and his way of soothing. You couldn't keep them from that unless you tape it or give them there bottle. This only happens with the pet monkeys. He has the same facial expression as when the mom bites the crap out of him butnit takes a few bites for him to stop. No he hit him and he knows that finger means no as well.
@@m.a2905 When mine started sucking his thumb, I put Oral Gel on it. The numbness in his mouth took that satisfaction away and after a few days he stopped. They don’t just suck their thumbs for security, sometimes it out of boredom. When they get two weeks old they start exploring their surroundings. I always kept mine busy.
