That is literally the exact spec Lucid I've been dreaming of. Absolutely beautiful car!! I understand the Lucid CEO spent a number of years working as the lead design engineer for Lotus, so I think that's why the suspension is the way it is. With that much power, they want you to be able to throw it into corners without losing it, and they want you to be able to feel where the wheels are when you're pushing it. But I totally understand that it's not as floaty as the Mercedes. Tesla definitely beats Lucid on tech at the moment, but Lucid is coming. The OTA updates are gonna get there and then that's gonna be a non-issue. And I think, personally, Lucid beats Tesla in quality of materials, luxury of design (interior and exterior), and overall build quality. If I had the money, there's no question, I'd absolutely get the Lucid. Just like the on in this video. Thanks for sharing this one with us.

I enjoyed the video. I have an Air GT in that mysterious Zenith Red, but with 21s. For me the best part of the car is the lively handling. I know that isn't for everybody and the EQS is definitely more plush. The highway assist should be working on the car in this video. It has the right update (can tell by the screen). Give the cruise control button on the left of the steering wheel a long push to turn it on. It only works on freeways, not city streets, but it works really well.

Love Lucid's approach. If I ever go EV (not by force), I will have a Air GT and a Taycan CrossT in the drive.

I just saw a Lucid Air, exactly the same color as the one in the video, here in Northern Arizona, a week or so ago, at an EA charger and it was STUNNING! They're way better looking in person. Every other car in the Walmart parking lot looked so old and goofy compared to the Lucid. I want one!

I enjoyed the interview that you had with John; we are also the proud owners of a Tesla and Lucid. FYI Dream drive rolled out but not is good as Tesla autopilot. John also eluded that Lucid has everything it needs to do upgrades for the life of the car bringing the car to autonomous driving. FYI, in the fine print in the buyers agreement, it states that they will continue to upgrade the vehicle unless the vehicle cannot support the new upgrade; we would have to pay for equipment upgrade and only if it is available. So like early buyers of Tesla, we may get left on the sidelines while future vehicles enjoy new capabilities that we can’t. Just a note.

I had my i3 until it got just over 100k miles. Changed to 100% as often as possible, mostly out of necessity. The battery was still in great shape when I traded it in.

Get your lucid wrapped! They are notorious for thin paint and any scratch will be very difficult to repair.

My neighbor just got his VIN for the grand touring in the same color. Excellent video with the right questions and now I'm equipped to see his ride. Expecting a drive as well.

Ceramic coating doesn’t protect from rock chips. You have to get paint protection film. Very nice review. Thanks for sharing!

Nice car! Lucids are kind of surprisingly common in the LA area I've noticed. Well maybe I just see the same 2--but I was seeing the Lucid pickup a bit around town over the past year.

Nice car but I definitely see why he chose the EQS, the EQS is on another level and underrated to a certain degree.

Well done guys. A thoughtful and baIanced assessment. I agree that the wheels will look better with smooth lug nut covers, but the parts you want to remove are part of air flow efficiency, I believe..

I test drivin the Lucid air from the Short Hills Mall showroom in Jersey, and I have to say, that car is "amazing", style and comfort, especially sitting in the rear with massive leg room and I am 6'1" tall.

Awesome car. I'm here in Manassas. I have Model Y. Let's just say for now he has 36 chargers in the area but with my CCS to Tesla adapter I too have those same 36 chargers. See what I did there. AND...at the moment I still have exclusive access to the best charging network in the world..because even when you add all of those charging stations up, they're not as reliable as the Tesla SC network. But for him it doesn't matter as much since his Lucid is the best long distance driver on the road with the Model X, Model S, Model Y LR and Model 3 LR coming in behind the Lucid. What I'm really rooting for is that Lucid remains in business, ramps up production and keeps putting these cars out there. I may be a Tesla fan but as a network administrator and all around tech guy, I really a fan of EVs and love seeing something else other than a Tesla on the road. I saw a Genesis GV60 pull up next to me the other day I was quite impressed with its styling.

You might consider putting the word channel after your channel name if you use it in the title to eliminate confusion. Keep up good work!

Hy from Romania Europe i just want to say Thank you for this great Interview , in my Opinion i like Lucid is soo Smart engeniering built , Mercedes EQS it have a luxury interior but we must admit EQS front is like a Honda and Tesla im sincerly complaining abaut the Low Quality construction , i sincerly wish to have the money to buy Lucid but is soo expensive.

I have never met such a cover on the wheel rims. Interesting solution. Classy car, very beautiful color. And unusual shape of the trunk lid

Thank you for the review. Sadly Lucid is not selling in my country, but I drove a couple of other high end electric sedans, like e-Tron, Taycan, Model S, Model 3 and I do own an EQS 580. My personal ranking is: EQS > EQE > Lucid > Taycan > eTron > Model S Plaid > Model 3. Lucid opinion is sadly only based on reviews...

this is so helpful !!!!! I have a 2014 Model S with 130k on it. It's perfect, no issues at all... only issue is I want to try something different. Trade in value is only 11k. Dam!!!! That's crazy! Having said that you can get a used EQS in the high 50s, also insane. I have to watch my coin so will probably perseverate for a few months before I get the Mercedes :) or maybe I should just keep the "T". I am grandfathered in for free charging for life with Tesla... Battery will still hold about 220 miles of range.

Very informative comments about features and technology in the Air GT. As an owner for a couple of months with 3500 miles, I appreciate and respect his perspective, although do not agree with his conclusion. Lucid has created a vehicle that is a marvel to drive with advanced power technology and continuous OTA improvements. It may not have the vibe of the EQS inside to those seeking legacy and derivative design, but that is the market that MB is addressing. Lucid seeks those who accept non-derivative exterior and interior design and materials. The ride is as compliant as I want and, yes I want to be in contact with the road surface, not isolated from it. The suspension is brilliant and natural without the artificial feeling that air suspension can deliver. IMO the Lucid Air GT comes as close dynamically to driving a 991 Turbo S and the most recent Panamera normally aspirated Panamera GTS, which I have owned, as possible given its 5200 pounds. Both Porsches have air suspension, but Porsche has refined it to keep the driver in contact with the road.
