Bill Clinton, when this was aired, had the persona of a genuinely humbled politician, when Donahue, at the time, had the ego of a plenipotentiary meglomaniac
8:02 "The only facts you're entitled to know" Again, i wish people understood this. No matter who you are, your private life, especially the sexual part, as long as it's legal, is your business and no one else's.
Clinton Passed NAFTA. The single worst piece of legislation of the century. It was the beginning of the core of our country, being literally decimated. Look at Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin, my friend. The union jobs that were the literal backbone of the economy, and the old school Democratic Party ARE GONE. @@Roma-SRyan
We did very well in the Clinton years, like most everyone else. My husband lost his job a year after 9/11. He looked for a job for a year. He finally was offered a very good job with a generous employer. The down side was it was 800 miles away. We spent the next 12 years on I 75 driving back and forth every Christmas. After our folks passed away, there wasn’t a reason to go back. My husband is still happy with his career. I don’t think we’ll ever get used to saying we’re from here, we still miss home.
Well I think the questions made Clinton look Teflon and made Donahue look like the villain. But you are right he did have a right to ask those questions.
Obviously he was not in the right because he turned his own audience against him... multiple times. One woman even said "I can't believe you wasted half of the show on these questions". At another point you can actually hear them in unison saying "Come on, move on already". At another point they boo his criticism of Hillary being on the Walmart board of directors.
I don't get the part when Bill starts laughing at the percentage numbers, says "interesting math", and then the audience laughs too. The numbers add up to 100, so what's the deal?
@@activelivingchallenger4298 Well, I mean I added them up and it equals 100. According to Bill himself, his best subject in school was math. Maybe not arithmetic, I guess.
Because the Elite live their lives by the numbers! Look back at History like for instance 911 all the different events worldwide that have happened on that date etc
@@elgeneralxx well of course he’s lying. He doesn’t directly deny it. This episode is an excellent example of how a man can carry the burden of flaws and overcome them and become president. It’s like he said in this episode, everyone has flaws so you might as well do a lottery.
what was it like in 1991 with phil donahue? i went to a park batgroom that was made in 1990 and it smelled and had toilets with black toilet seats! im scared of toilets with black toilet seats and park bathrooms
Why was Donahue beating a dead horse. That first part was poor interviewing. When you badger someone in an interview that the viewers are getting annoyed with you, you are doing a horrible job. He was not going to say more than he had stated in the first 5 minutes or so. Was Clinton lying? Yup, but everyone could see it. Let it go.
