Donald Scott sadly died at the age of 96 on June 22nd 2024 and was one of the great characters of the game. He played for Scotland on several occasions but one of his finest achievements was winning a 7s title in the Borders for Langholm.
Stuart Cameron interviewed him when he was in his late 80s, and he was in fine form, attending the Kelso 7s tournament to watch his grandson Scott McKean playing for Watsonians.
