I’m American and watch it too - love it. Wish they would give Kennedy equal attention: in our own country they keep him off of the networks, isn’t that dirty. I might be voting for Kennedy but my heart feels for Trump with all the unnecessary BS the left has put him through. I voted for him once but I think our country needs to heel with someone with a calmness about him and solutions instead of the back and forth that just keeps the hate going.

Although, I gotta say, it would be nice to vote for someone who might actually win for once in my life! ha (Should’ve had it last time, but whatever…) But yeah, sad that a Kennedy was essentially rejected by the Democratic Party. He would be a great President. But so would Trump… again.

If you want to know about J.D. Vance, just watch the movie made about the book he wrote, or read the book. They'r both called Hillbilly Elegy. Great book and movie. And great life story. I think it was a great choice.

Trump choosing a younger candidate actually makes a lot of sense especially since he’s up against a geriatric like Biden but voters also want younger people in higher office and I believe JD will appeal more to them.

@Kate-nr3fx3fi9o, I believe it shows that Trump’s campaign believes he’s going into a commanding lead and doesn’t need to carve out a few votes here and there in key states to take the election. This isn’t a choice that will bring any new undecided voters to the table, or swing any Electoral College votes. His campaign is saying they don’t foresee needing that “help”.
Look at his past. He's a yes man who latched onto Trump's nutsack to keep his job. He has publicly admitted that he hated Trump, then did a complete reversal and jumped on his bandwagon. Horrible choice for moderate conservatives.

Went and looked up more info about the dude because I had no idea who he was. He was a never trumper republican but after trumps first term the dude apparently had a change of heart and came to love and support trump. So I guess respect to the dude for being open to change his mind
For those that are wondering! JD Vance is one of the newly elected Senators in Ohio. Republicans are in danger of losing the Midwest (Ohio included) with the events between 2020-2024. Democrats have made very large strides in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio. Choosing Vance ensures they he will have a much higher voter turnout in all these state (including Pennsylvania) and hopefully North Carolina. All states he needs to win in order to win.
