Reform did great in the popular vote, but that literally doesn't matter because everyone else was fighting the fight the rules had set out. If we were under STV, then we'd see an actual representation of what the people want, without wasted votes, and we'd see the differing campaign strategies from the parties that have gotten good at FPtP, for example Lib Dem, who are VERY good at playing the game. Personally I voted Reform because I believe governments are all bad and never change anything material for me, so I voted for the funniest option. If we were under STV, I might rank Reform third, or not vote at all, because it's not funny any more.
