The movement in the Trump watch is the BCP Tourbillon. It is one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest Swiss made tourbillons you can get. That being said, it is probably the worst finished iterations I've seen in any of the brands using it.
A little bit disappointed here since I was already late to the watch party (haha), but I made a video as well, giving consumers a better idea of what it is. The watches are made via a licensing deal, DJT is not buying inventory and reselling them, the company sits in WY, the BCP Tourbillon is a Swiss movement, and in the less expensive line they are utilizing TMI engines which are made in Japan and Malaysia.
I don’t think Zuck just thought out of nowhere “oh I can just buy watches now”. Meta is developing new Smart Glasses and I was listening recently about the technology behind it and they mentioned how special are the crystals and difficult and expensive to grow themselves. So when I hear “grow” the crystals being watch guy I immediately thought of how watch companies do that and then thought probably Zuck dove into the rabbit hole of how the watch world is doing this and sparked interest in him. Or I am completely off 😂
