@@HLB512 i agree. American infatuation with Israel, the $100 million spent by the Israeli lobby, and the added spice of getting the Middle East ready for JC's return (couldn't He just buy a plane ticket?) mean logical thinking goes out the window.
Well he hasn't had a moment as bad as this, so it's unfair to claim that. Had the performance been like his rallies or State of the union, he would be the clear winner of the debate (like 2020).
@@antonkarlsson7664yes he has. he has been having senior moments for years, liberals have just been gaslighting everyone by saying they’re russian bots
@@missedcalls So why did Trump hype up Biden with performance enhancement accusations (if most people thought this before)? Biden did have some good moments before this utter disaster. Of course if this was his state of the union, this reaction would've come months ago.
@@antonkarlsson7664 Haven't you seen him falling up air force one stairs, falling off his bike and falling over on stage all since he has been president? There are entire compilations on RU-vid of Biden struggling to get to the end of sentences at various events.
@@ppetal1 dose everybody in england think scotland is a region of britain we are a country and a proud nation and we will be free again viva independance
Congratulations USA on giving the world the most hilariously cringey and entertaining leadership contest to date. C'mon the UK, let's see what you've got! 😂
I was watching it hoping for season two. Insanely embarrassing for America, like Caesar wracking off in the middle of the coliseum, other country leaders of the time watching. American empire in it's dying stage
Please don't platform Brianna Wu. She is completely irrelevant except as an online person to dunk on. She is unserious and everyone is worse off by interacting with her
Hmm I'm not a fan of Biden but honestly I don't want to see an 80+ year old man struggle on stage. Dislike how a lot of people take pleasure in his obvious struggle and I'd say the same if it were trump tbh. He may or may not have early dementia but idk. He needs to step aside though for sure it's a great shame Bernie sanders wasn't the candidate in 2020 as he got pretty close - I think he'd do great against trump!
@@bothi00 no I did not and would not were he to struggle in future and I think trump is a dick - Even when Hillary Clinton fainted getting into that car and people laughed I felt worried for her and I couldn't stand Hillary during her election campaign. At the end of the day it's an old person doing a job that 99.9% of people wouldn't even consider and I get overwhelmed going to the shopping centre sometimes lol so whilst I may disagree with a lot of politicians or dislike their personalities I would ultimately wish them well - or at least wish them neutral fortunes lol.
I don't know if anyone is aware of this overseas, but here in the states, many have pointed out that some changes were made to the debate rules to prevent the out of control debates of 2020. The audience was removed and microphones were muted when it wasn't their turn to answer. It was thought that this would advantage Biden because it would stop Trump from being disruptive. Ironically, it has clearly helped Trump. It forced Trump to control himself and in comparison look presidential.
His face and reactions reminded me of my 90 year old grandfather the last time i met him a few weeks before he died. This debate was simply elder abuse. No two ways about it. The Democratic establishment should be ashamed of themselves.
Yeah, how in the flying f*ck is Biden the best they have? It's really worrying to me. He looks so frail and confused, I just want to give him a hug and make sure he's ok. In his current mental state he is in no way capable of winning this election and that should be extremely clear to the Democrats. Would it not be better to switch him out for basically anyone?
As a brazilian guy, I'm really worried about the future of my country when Trump comes back. Bolsonaro we will probably have a great opportunity to became dictator in Brazil.
@@kelva1304 They were well below what he promised, which was already inadequate so no not really. If anything he has been an establishment ghoul with a couple good positions on labor issues (He did prevent the rail strike so not that good).
I feel for those pro-Biden supporters. They feel its quite hopeless. Thats how we feel about Starma, though in the UK that hopeless sentiment is laced with blind fury.and deep resentment at being lied to and disrespected by a dim confidence trickster.
Did you actually watch the debate? I despise both candidates, but it was cringe inducing. One denying everything and just slagging off his opponent, the other timidly sloshing along. Trump wasn't even on it. Watching someone panicked in a diminishing mental state will never be entertaining imo.
What foreigners? It's horrifying to us Irish, for example. Trump is very, very firmly regarded as both an oaf and a fascist by us - I don't think most Americans, of any political persuasion, truly grasp how laser-focused the rest of the world is on all of this, and how we firmly grasp that a second Trump presidency will launch an open attack on democracy in America - and on the rest of us, too. Do you think we Irish, the British, Europe don't grasp that Trump *will* target us, too, in a second presidency?! Nobody here regards this as 'entertainment'. American democracy - and the future of western peace and stability for decades to come - are on the line right now. This is the moment. It's now.
@@justagame101At the end of the day these debates are about optics - Biden had to go out there and convice people he's not an incomprehensible zombie, and he completely failed to do that. Countless of people have been warning the Dems that they're risking a 2nd Trump term with Biden as the head of the ticket. They all put their heads in the sand regardless & let him steer the ship, and now that he's fumbled so hard in front of millions of people they are finally coming to the realization of just how much of a liability he is.. It didn't help that the media completely refused to fact check Trump's BS live and they just let him ramble on. From the perspective of the average person watching the debate - Trump was the winner.
Yeah as an Australian this was entertaining and scary. I’m worried for you and for us because we worn’t stop sucking up to American military complex. I cannot believe that he demolished the ab0rti0n point.
He needs to retire and hand the reins to someone else. Why is he doing this to himself? It's honestly depressing to watch, I genuinely feel bad for the guy.
If trying to lock up opponents, taking opponents off the ballot and prosecuting opponents for lubricious, out of date alleged Felonies. Rewriting laws for specific opponents. If that’s Dems idea of Democracy.😊 give me, sign me up for Trumps ‘alleged’, Dictatorship tendencies ASAP. More ‘highlights’, of Bidens greatest moments coming as soon as Garland does the right thing and releases those Hur Tapes.
quite honestly though: does he even know anything about that by now? have his handlers just been walking him through this entire presidency? He talks about Hamas like is an abstract concept. I don't know how much you can totally blame or praise him for any policy now. His brain seems totally cooked.
To think that This old and fading man is the One giving the thumbs up to the genocide is quite sickening. Everything's a farce in Amerika, couldn't make this sh!t up!
Labour aren't supporting their candidate in Clacton because it serves two strategies. The Clacton Labour candidate has values and a style that Starmer has been defenestrating for a couple of years now. And Nige MP would salt the earth for what's left of the Conservatives. Risky game, though. Mr Moustache from the 1930's was also given latitude and support, to win elections for an increasingly unpopular mainstream party, too.
Dale Vince clearly has an agenda, which means that he is campaigning against strong candidates in particular. Maybe he has been promised something from Starmer, and needs to show his loyalty. Maybe it’s a knighthood, into the House of Lords, or GB Energy is the key. He did talk about running for parliament, and Ecotricity was looking for a buyer a short time ago.
As Aaron pointed out, the Greens energy and fiscal are bonkers. But it would be really hard not to vote for Sian, she is brilliant on the london Assembly and ouls make a very good mp.
Given Biden's relentless support of Netanyahu and the opposition of a clear majority of American youth to said support, I have been left wondering if Biden, on some level, was content with losing the youth vote, and, consequently, the election.
Im not convinced of Dale Vince. Ecotricity have no feed in energy tariff structure. Very strange to be against decentralised local generation, especially in the light of CPRE's campaign to get solar on roofs.
I suspect the "businessman" is being put in front of the "green" in importance by Mr Vince. It doesn't seem a coincidence that the wealthy businessman is supporting the party offering a "green investment bank" over the party offering wealth distribution and actually public utilities.
Aaron makes a point about groups of minorities not all thinking the same thing. This is why I always insist on says "Pakisani Communities" or "Gay communities" plural. There isn't one monolithic Iranian "community." in the UK. But Iranian communities do exist. By adding in the plural it means there is a bit of wiggle room, people aren't forced to associate with all other members of their ethnic background.
Unfortunately Biden and his close advisors are in a fantasy land, they intend to keep him in the race and refuse to listen to any criticism even from within his cabinet. Truly a nightmare scenario we're facing 🙃
I’ve been quite critical of Aaron Bastani in the past due to what appears to be quite patronising anti-SNP and anti-Scotland bias (PoliticsJOE are guilty of this too in my opinion), but I want to say he did a really good job this time. Thanks Aaron so much… you’ve really restored some faith for me! I’m not an SNP superfan. There’s a lot to criticise them on lately - the anti-green shift, the unprogressive choice of deputy first minister, the apparent embezzlement etc, but I do feel you’ve listened to the comments from Scots. Thank you 🙂
does no one remember Old nigel bover boots doc martens rolled up Jean's & braces walking beside the NF leader on a demonstration , wolf in sheeps clothing
and yet in his speech after the debnate he was straight fire imagine trying to tell people to throw support away after 1 night, almsot as if it's just media astroturfing to control the election pretty sure it's too late to replace the candidate
Even Trump knew not to kick a dying pup. I think Biden should step down but the lowbrow ageist and (quite obviously) ableist commentary from all corners of the media makes me sadder than the prospect of another Trump run.
UK Greens sounds a lot like Sweden's left party. Which is to the left of our Social Democratic "Labour Party". Vote them in, but vote smart. Never contest a given Labour seat. There are web pages for this, as you all know. Don't protest vote against Labour, it's the same as a Tory or UKIP vote.
There's no such thing as ''UK Green party'' .In Scotland we have the ''Scottish Green Party'' , and in England and Wales it's a seperate party for the Greens. They are both run completley differently and focus on their own policies etc
Like last time, I wont vote unless one of the parties promises to kick the Americans out. Sitting at home smoking a spliff and playing with my nob is a much more productive use of my time.
There's a lesson here, though I doubt it will be visible to most Centrists. You chose 'Your Man' over the fundamental reality that the effects of advanced old age cannot be ignored. It's not Ageism to acknowledge that I won't be as sharp as I am today, in 40 years time. There has to be an acceptable line, they just ignored the line for politicking.
The Trump reminds me of the story of Rumpelstiltskin! Pun intended! Promises to weave straw into gold and then can’t build a wall after promising the wall will be built and Mexico would pay for it! The Mexican response: FU!
You know the actual worrying thing about the voting intention and drink of choice, reform coming second in VK drinkers... real problem coming up in the near future, the young are helpless and inequality locks them out of everything and thus are being radicalised as a result.
To save future of democrats, the democrats must bring skme young face , starting with kamal Haris. In the Frontline . Whether he is still capable of being president (A doubtfjl proposition,) He must leave the stage make room for younger. guy I wonder whether Obama can be called back, just a thought.
Ive no doubt that Joe Biden is the better human being with politics that I agree with , but just on the strength of this debate alone he has probably handed the White House back to Trump and I have only seen this one clip . Not only will he be 82 this year it isnt just about getting to the election in November , it is about potentially being US President for another four years from January 2025 , when he will be 86 years old !
58:02 craft ales are my favourite tipple and I like the Green party. Probably voting Plaid Cymru though for similar reasons. Shame this is yet another poll where Welsh politics is completely bloody ignored.
Trump just standing there watching Biden fall apart. He was interrupting vs Hillary, angry, loud. But vs Biden he just let's him embarrass himself. Trump is getting in 100%. Good luck everyone.
Yes age shouldn’t matter, it’s not a sporting competition. What matters is knowledge, wisdom, morality, ethics, mental acuity and so on. So lets look at their histories. Hum very colorful and interesting 🤨 indeed.
the thousand billionaires attack line would have been so powerful to anyone just a little bit younger. ""and one of them is standing right beside me, they pay far less than anyone else, while the middle class are working their pants off paying 40-50% tax on income, people like him get tax rebates and single digit taxes"
Both authoritarian & fascistic, one seems to facilitate the other, I really hope Americans break this cycle as it looks like the union is going to break up & I think that with the level of privilage, unchecked white supremacists/ethno nationalists & quite frankly bitter nihilistic old men controlling the narrative now is probably a bad time for that to happen
