There is an Italian surgeon who's very successful at removing silicon fillers from lips and faces. She can definitely afford it. Sometimes I feel like she deliberately ' nourishes ' this weird look with transparent eyebrows and bleached hair. Years in fashion have definitely twisted her perception of beauty.
The whole 'alien' look is so prevalent with the 1%. Just look at Ivanka and Melania...so much of the same weird shaping of the face. their idea of what beauty is is so twisted!
@@staceykersting705 Melania has always had a cat-like shaped eyes. Even as a young girl. She should fire her makeup artist though, for that hideous makeup he does on her.
Sadly this look is starting to become normalized. My 64 year old aunt started down this plastic surgery road a year ago and went from a beautiful gracefully aging woman to WHAT DID YOU DO?! But the problem is, people keep feeding her comments (I can see them on her FB page) of how great she looks (so young, youthful and radiant) so every few months she does something new. I barely recognize her now...and it's not good.
@Melissa Robert's I meant that no, ageing is not always graceful or pleasant and yes, I undrestand why people seek esthetic interventions. But not to the extent of being unrecognizable.
I have seen her walking around Selfridges in London back in 2014 and even then she looked absolutely terrifying. She was with the young woman, not sure who she was - either an assistant or her daughter, but they both looked almost identical: bleached blonde, very petite, super skinny and equally scary.
well italian people are often very petite and skinny, I lived in Milan for a pretty long time , I myself am petite ,blonde and kinda skinny :D I dont think iyts something thats scary :D unless youre anorxic orsomething, I think that Donatella is just naturally like that...sh just has that kind of bodytype
I can’t afford cosmetic surgery, but I can’t imagine having it unless I were in a terrible accident. I enjoy looking like both my parents did at this age. I’m in my mid 60’s.
A woman, who is already pretty, surrounded by models, you can get insecure. She looked JUST FINE! No need for anything to be done. Mostly caused by the murder of her family member, and divorce and other life traumas. That led her to do this imo.
Yet these designers choose to use the absolute thinnest youngest models themselves..... Now the tides turned and they're trying to punt these grossly overweight ones. Why not medium normal girls?
@@lr6477 Or just a variety of people. For a period in life I was really skinny. I was exercising a lot and I didn't understand that I needed to eat more if I exercised more, so I was fit and very, very slender. That's when I learned clothesare designed for people like that. What ever I tried when shopping for clothes, looked great on me. Clothes aren't made for people who have much of a shape, but we tend to think it is our bodies that are shaped strangely and differently. It's the clothes that are strange and different.
You're very kind in talking about not only Donatella but other people. I get the sense that you are not only extremely knowledgeable and skillful, but also compassionate.
She would also look younger with another hair colour ( dark honey blond, gold chestnut etc) . I don't want to say anything on her looks... because I love Gianni Versace's collections from the late 80's . Greetings from Paris
Yes her appearance would be greatly improved with another hairstyle or color. Also I think she could use some help in the clothes department. Kind of ironic...
I totally agree that she needs, at the very least, some darker lowlights to create some dimension. Her hair is so bleached, that it might as well be grey. The doctor also had two really good suggestions - rhinoplasty and a lip would add a touch of youth & prettyness without looking like overdone plastic surgery.
I like that she didn't do her nose, as an Italian woman with a prominent nose, I feel it has character and is sad to wipe traces of who we are away so we can look younger and more generic! Homage to all the Italian beauties whom have never had their noses done!! Sophea Loren, Sofia Coppola (hopefully she didn';t, I love her nose), my mom, who at 96 has her beautiful prominent Italian nose!
I hated those nose when I was young and now I just think it's beautifull, such Barbra Streisand, I love it, it takes à strings personnalité to refuse the surgeon knife
As you age the nose grows. It is now hanging down and looks collapses. I think she would look so much better with a small tip reduction and a strengthen bridge, as well as a lip lift. I think it would make a huge difference to the overall look.
@@zenluvsfun if she did that then she'd have a very long philtrum which if you haven't heard is a big factor on your attractiveness, lol, hence all the lip lifts. It would then be pointed out that she needs a lip lift! It never ends! It's far easier to accept and embrace somethings about yourself! I am not against getting stuff done , especially as we get older. I look at the headline of this video, it is a form of bullying. Imagine how she must feel reading that? I have had filler problems if it was splashed all over the internet, I'd be horrified!!!
I liked what Dr M suggested in his before and after video rendering for Donatella. Her nose really does give her a masculine, aggressive vibe for such a petite gal. Evidently she is super tiny, which is probably why she is always photographed perched atop sky-high platform shoes.
Honestly I can’t image her looking anyway different. The scary look is such part of her now unfortunately, it’s how she will be remembered especially to people who don’t follow luxury fashion
@@arielhernandez4193 maybe it’s very hard to fix and given her age there might be additional complications. Also she is so well known for looking this way, it’s practically her brand now
This is her style. Leave her alone. To be honest, she has an image with impact. Since she is in the public view, it is easy to use her as an example for ridicule. She does however, present severe.
My friend's face was absolutely destroyed by silicone. A women went around posing as an RN and would inject silicone in the lips, face, and buttocks. My lips had Aquamid, another synthetic and permanent filler. This had to be cut out of my lips, and the surgeon ruined my lymphatic system in the lip area and left them feeling like they have Novacaine in them all the time. Permanent fillers like silicone and Aquamid are not to be fooled with, and it's disheartening how many people fell victim to these permanent fillers because most have permanent issues! With Donatella, it looks like she has silicone migration in the upper lip thus cause the "monkey" appearance in the philtrum area.
It's sad but I think women should avoid these unnecessary chemicals people just want to go with the current trend, trust me the price you pay is going to be so high. Is it really worth it?
I feel sorry for Donatella. She had a beautiful, classic Roman profile when she was younger. But then again, I liked Cher's natural profile & yet has had lots of surgery too. They were both unique but life has taken them in another direction. Bless both of them.
Cher looked her best during the Sonny & Cher Show era! Her natural nose & teeth contributed to her gorgeous exotic look! Cher was the most beautiful woman in the world during her prime! Still gorgeous to this day with a great personality!
I love it when actresses and other public females age naturally, like that actress who played Darlene Snell in Ozarks. She's 70 and beautiful without surgery/fillers
@@teresalehtonen8499 there was something kind of sexy about her, although for the life of me, it mystified me that she struck me in that way. But if you Google the actress who played her, then you will see a very attractive woman who is 70 years old. Besides, a woman doesn't need to be beautiful to have an certain appeal.
@@lilianwal2385 and i think for the most part going with a naturally aging face is the best. It's definitely easier to look at someone who has aged naturally than it is someone who has done to her face what Donatella has done. I am a fan of facials and good skincare, however
Not easy staying natural and getting older. When you knew what you looked like years ago and your look in the mirror now it doesn’t make you feel like you. However I wouldn’t want to look different. Growing older is a privilege!
You certainly chose the most flattering photos of her that I've ever seen. For decades every shot of her gave me the horrors. And the fact that she was in the glamorous fashion industry made it even worse that she looked so awful. Even I knew I had to dial it way back once I got older.
I just want to say off the bat that Donatella is a brilliant designer and really did her brother proud. I think she had nose reconstruction tho if you look at a profile shot of her from the seventies she had a beautiful classic aquiline nose. I think reconstruction was due to some damage from what I heard.
She has an aquiline or “Romanesque” nose like what you see represented in paintings and sculptures of the Roman classical period. And of course she is Italian. But she is a brilliant designer…..even before her brother was killed, she was very talented and involved in the success of the Versace label.
Also, wear a wide-brimmed hat with UV protection every time you go outside. You're not going to cover your face with sunscreen every time you step outside, but putting on a hat is easy.
It’s difficult for me to criticize those who are in the public limelight, fashion, modeling, or acting. It’s the way they make a living, & the demands are beyond ridiculous. Of course, they could choose not to do alter their appearance. It’s our culture & until we accept aging normally it will continue. P.S. Dr. Gary you have a beautiful head of hair!! And sparkling blue eyes. 😎
Donatella Versace has improved her facial changes done in the past. I believe that she is keeping her Italian features. She could do the surgeries you suggest but she may be unrecognizable by changing her prominent facial features. I commend her for that. It is just her lips that could be corrected now that there are better procedures.
She is not just the sister of Gianni. She is the brand's chief creative officer. She is Versace's designer. All plastic surgeons who injected silicon or do damage should be persecuted. It's their fault. The patients trust plastic surgeons.
Yup, her fault entirely, she looks almost masculine, very weird. Smoking & too much sun takes it’s toll & can’t be rectified by surgery, she made herself look grotesque.
Speaking as a portrait artist, the classic ratio of the nose makes up a certain amount of presence in the face. The current trend for small and narrow noses does look disproportionate, and in my opinion, unattractive. Beauty often comes in difference and variance. My sister has a nose with a very aquiline and aristocratic bump, an elegant outward curve down the ridge. She's sometimes said she would like to straighten it, but it is what lends her face distinction and beauty. Sometimes 'pretty' can be just plain boring, and certainly the 'pretty' faces are not interesting enough to paint.
What you say makes absolute sense. I may be way off, but Barbra Streisand… right? She’s an example of what you’re saying IMHO. Oddly beautiful all this time and to this day with her legendary nose.
how many people clicked on this because of the Netflix "American crime story" season 2.. as a Canadian born in '96 I had always known her NAME but never really recalled what she looked like until I watched the Netflix series and became curious! I'm very appreciative of the normalcy of professionals talking about this stuff for everyone to view. A few years ago I thought I wanted multiple procedures done if I could ever find a way to afford it.. now at age 26 I know that I personally want to keep it less invasive until I have nothing to lose as long as I feel confident in my self. I don't think I could ever go through the process of a breast enhancement or a bbl it is so invasive and so likely it won't go the way I would imagine it. I am SOOOOO thankful I didn't jump the gun around age 24 when I wanted to. Don't get me wrong I did get a little lip flip done with a high quality type filler I forget all the details but they still look great/very natural and it's been almost two years and my lips still look completely normal just a little less thin that they are naturally. I realized these things should be done VERY mindfully and only to ENHANCE natural features not completely change your appearance because of what society believes the new beauty standard is AT THAT TIME.. I cannot imagine is I had the funds to try and compete in the modern beauty competition that is *life* especially with social media being the way it is, I would have had a severe identity crisis and god knows what terrible complications and health problems from attempting to "keep up with the joneses"..
No matter how "good" the results eventually, ugh. We all want to look good but confidence, kindness and a good diet helps make one look healthy and proud.
Man oh man. I ADORE THIS SURGEON! He has the best suggestions, always. Very reserved and never is a proponent for aggressive alteration. If I had the $$ I’d go see him in an instant. ❤️❤️
Man this is so sad. I've seen pictures of her and I thought perhaps they were faked just to create a story. How horrifying that someone did these things to themselves. Poor lady.
Ihave had breast augmentation in my late 30’s, I was very tiny and have been super happy. I will also admit I was quite vain until I turned 50 and started to “ relax “ a little more . Now 58 I have considered botox etc, even tho I’m not too wrinkled at all. Being vain comes w a price, I’m leaving my face alone ! My mom is 84 and stunning so I will age gracefully 💖🤷🏼♀️☺️
You miss the point at 40 you have the face which reflects your inner feelings , all marked on your face That is why people who were good looking at 16 , become at 40 well SAD looking to say the least Others just grow old still retaining a good face Whatever its the only one you get so look after it
Carol Alt is in her 60s and she looks incredible including the skin on her arms, chest and back. She could pass for 40 something. We need an explanation!!!
You - She had a brow lift Me - What brows?? Seriously though she has had all this work done and if she would fill in her brows or have them filled in it would make a huge difference! Maybe she’s going for that weird alien look.
@@Momma_AL Oh, YES : very m u c h so, i completely agree. And i sincerely do positively adore **La🔥Donatella*;* had just found that comment t o o funny to resist replying actually.... ~💖
The fact that silicone was so recently used this way and most people feel it is the patient's fault if something goes wrong should be enough to keep you from trying a lot of these procedures. The fact that real doctors and nurses did this to someone (who's very rich and certainly had access to the best) without thinking through what would happen to the Silicone over time is disgusting. We're encouraged to think about things so short term - the mentality is you're gonna go back and get more and more maintenance work done - that's how people end up this far down the road and regular people don't always have resources to fix it. There are some doctors who should get their licenses pulled. It makes you question which trendy procedures of today will we look back on in 20 years and blame the people with the distorted faces who fell for it?
Why is camera on the doc and NOT on Donatella so we can see what he is talking about. It is necessary to look at Donatella when listening to explanations. It is not necessary to look at the doctor.
So tragic… she’s a talented designer and looked beautiful before but fails miserably designing her own face. She looks like some alien from outer space now.
