The one I’ve been waiting for. Donatello being my favorite turtle made this a must watch. The brownish green skin tone just looks so cool. I love how it turned out. The OG style head looks good but that new one; Money 💰 The Bo Staff being short is kinda whack but still, it looks good. The line up with all the other Super 7 Turtles, I don’t know, Cap. I think you sold me on this wave. Might have to get them now.
I think you’d dig them. Having all the turtles makes me really appreciate the alternate heads more than I thought I would, gotta admit I originally had no use for them but now I enjoy them.
If i were to get a set of TMNT figures, it'd be this series. I really like the aethetics of the figures, especially the IDW-esque heads. I think they looks a lot better than the OG Playmates heads. But the bow staff is really small, kinda a shame. Nice video, Cap!
Yeah man, I gotta say after having all four and messing with them, those alternate heads have definitely gone from accessories I never thought I’d use to becoming a really cool alternate look for these figures.
"I guess nobody's calling him (Mikey), I don't know." Dude I will call Mikey. He needs his boys. Also, I had a toy version of that communicator as a tiny boy, and it was awesome. I used it for everything. This figure is dope, man. Super 7 are high quality.
Out of ALL the turtles, Mikey is the one I’d call first. Yeah man, Super7 has really impressed me this year. I’ve liked all the stuff I’ve got from them, and I know next year they’re gonna have more sick turtles, and I’m hopeful they start doing some primo Godzilla stuff with that license.
Oh yeah, but I imagine Leo's got him beat with existential & interpersonal intelligence. Donnie's like the highly functioning asperger's Turtle lol. Always been my favourite.
Great review for a great figure! We’re looking forward to opening our set of this wave soon. Super 7 is mailing this line; I can’t wait to see what they do next. My daughter adores these figures too!
They’re a ton of fun. I never thought I’d be buying super remastered versions of Playmates figures, but I’ve been happy with the ones I’ve grabbed. Glad you and your daughter are enjoying them too!
I could've swore the reason why they made the bo staffs so short is to replicate the originals. Just don't have one handy, but I know the original is relatively short too. I think it may seem longer due to the Turtles not being able to stand up straight. Just always thought they looked small since the ends don't come too far past their hands when holding one. But I could be totally wrong, and Super7's versions are disproportionately smaller like Bebop & Rocksteady's weapons. Regardless (like you mentioned), they should've included at least one longer one. I mean Raph got three sets of sai's.
I initially wondered about that, but I checked the original bo staff and it was much longer than Leo’s original sword, where the Super7 bo staff is the same length as Leo’s sword. I also saw Toy Bro’s review and he showed the old and new bo staffs together and they’re the same size. It’s a strange design choice IMO but it doesn’t really hurt the figure.
Yeah, I wasn't really cool with Donnie's staff being that small. But I got over it. I'm just happy that I finally got him in my collection. Still it's a great figure. Donnie is my fourth favorite among the TMNT and they captured his classic toy look beautifully. I still have yet to get Raph, as I have him pre-ordered on BBTS, as of the time of this comment. He's the only turtle I need to complete the team.
@@CaptainMcKayRandom this just in! I found Raph at one of my local toy stores and got him immediately, and you're right! They do look nice together in my shelf, and it really made me and my inner child very happy! Because for 30 years, I've always wanted my Ninja Turtles toys to do more epic poses! I thought it wouldn't be possible! Then along comes Super 7 with their TMNT Ultimates line! While I am not a fan of single joints, I'm more than happy with owning updated versions of my childhood action figures. And having all four of them together?! Just freaking awesome!
@@craigjuan5744 hey that’s awesome! I agree that single joints aren’t the best, but on these figures I don’t mind because they look very nice without the peg holes in the arms/legs so I can appreciate the good sculpts. Glad you got the whole gang together, enjoy!
Question for anyone. Looking to grab a set of turtles to go with my Power Ranger crossover set. I'm looking for a set close to 6 inch but looking for aesthetic more than anything. Narrowed down to Animated neca and ultimates. Anyone have a preference or maybe a different set altogether?
I’d say both options seem like they’d be good? NECA’s cartoon versions will be shorter than the MMPR crossover ones I believe (if they’re 6” like the other Ranger figures in the line), while Super7 would be closer in height to the Hasbro line. Without having those figures in hand, I can’t say for sure though.
