@@chase5556 you might be able to put a few drops of shock oil onto a little paint brush and just paint it onto the ball joints, then move it around and it should be better. Sometimes I’ve had those issues but a little bit of the oil usually takes care of it
These stopmotions look so incredibly good! The attention to detail on the moves and the movement is simply amazing. I actually felt like I was looking at a match between Shawn and Foley. And the stuff with Mr. Socko when he took it from Mankind was really something I'd see him do! It was amazing, I really enjoyed this!
I bought the re realease from Walmart with card from playmates 60 bucks for all 4 i miss k-b toys i used to get them for 4.99 it was 1988 so they were 20 bucks with tax 22.55
That’s an old van from the SCOOB movie that I repainted and added some things on to. There’s a closer look at it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i6TE23g4XZY.htmlsi=s8b-qYm0CZzLm9Cu
@@CaptainMcKayRandom ah nice, thank you! Your custom is legit. I’ll check the video out. I thought it was an official TMNT VAN. 😂Speaking of which, I got my hands on the Revoltech TMNT after this video and I am now considering getting either the NECA Party Wagon or Underground Arsenal Van. What are your thoughts on either?
@@Rising_07-k7d I got the NECA van and I really like it. I’ve got some video of that as well that I’ll be releasing sometime soon, just gonna be talking about a lot of TMNT stuff from the last few months. I don’t have the Underground Arsenal but I’ve heard great things.
Any interest in making a follow up video to show off any figures you've added to the collection since? (And to cover the upcoming Super7 Ultimates 2003 figures, of course)
I’m not sure how often the import sites restock, to be honest. If they don’t, there’s always the chance of a reissue (but that may take a while too). You might have luck getting this from someone who is bought this out of FOMO and is selling theirs
I grew up on the blue version of Batman. I remember seeing Batman all in black when Batman 89 came out and I remember not liking it as much as the blue version. Now as an adult at 39 I prefer his black and grey look, but I got this figure for the nostalgia. Very awesome.
I got into Batman through the movies, so the black costume was my go-to. But once I started getting into the comics, I started really loving the yellow logo and blue cowl look. I do love the black and gray look, but this is still a classic for me.
Great Review my friend! So I did order this (should be here in a a week or so), but I also got both Hush versions and I feel you on the cape issues.... I understand and appreciate that they were trying to make the cape other-worldly but in most instances it was just a touch much. Having said that, I do still love those Batman figs. I think this one meets all the criteria... awesome cape, awesome fig, but not over doing it.
Regarding the bang for your buck, it sure can vary when it comes to Mafex releases. You look at ones like Gambit and Magento (totally loaded), then you'll have an occasional one really lacking like Wolverine and Catwoman. They're certainly not all created equal, and lately they don't seem to be coming down on price with the weaker releases.
You’re right. Magneto had a bunch of things, and Wolverine was pretty threadbare. I guess for a character like Batman I would’ve liked to see at least a couple little gadgets or something.
@@CaptainMcKayRandom For sure. It's been so long since I read Knightfall, so I don't remember what all they had. But to have gotten _at least_ a batarang (sans the wire) would've been nice. The accessory just doesn't work well, unlike the grapnel gun that came with Hush Bats. It would've worked better if a string was attached instead. I'll probably end up using one of the extra classic lookin' batarangs that came with the Hush release.
I subscribed after hearing your review brother i’m from same time frame as you and also absolutely love Kelly Jones! His Batman was wicked, his Swamp Thing and Deadman as well. I have the blue and black Hush Mafex batman, TKDR blue triumphant version and the black tdkr with horse. I think this Knightfall one is my new favorite for sure!
Thanks for subscribing! I forgot about the TDKR figures, those looked great from what I saw. I’ve been able to resist Mafex DC stuff, but this is getting me to reconsider haha.
I had that same Batman issue! It was my first comic book. The lady at the checkout counter tried to talk my mom out of buying it cause of the cover art lol. The figure is really good based on your review. Mafex kills it with their comic book figures. Love that they give you so many options for the cape.
I felt like accessory wise they sort of missed out, they should have added the grappling riffle or the grappling hook or a few battarangs but design wise I actually like the Kelly batman, it's a nice bridge between the black suit batman of the late 80s and 90s and the more Olympian physique build batman that I feel actually works for batman since he's a stealth/martial arts character, I never seen him as a brute, I think Superman is better that way and it works in contrast. I think I might be sold on him if my fucking order gets into the store but then again shame on me for ordering that new Mezco ghost rider...I should have known better...yeah I'm getting bane and Tim drake if he comes out too.
Yeah, a few extra accessories would have been welcome here. Even just swapping the head with the breathing device out for a Bruce Wayne head would’ve made this better. That said, he’s great.
@@CaptainMcKayRandom I agree, this one needed a Bruce figure, I could think of a dozen covers you could mimic with him in his batrecliner. Still this is very good, can't wait to get him down the line.
Nice review. ❤ I will say i own hush batman in black and gray. And dark night returns batman in blue and gray with battle damage. I prefer the later. It’s a ton of fun. I did skip this guy. But ordered Bane. I can’t wait. Just hope he scales
Karate shop hands that can also be used for slapping Haha. This figure looks so epic with the Kelly Jones head. That DCUC Batman is the one I've been recently chatting with you about and wow, I was surprised when you mentioned us talking about your video! Haha Vader out of nowhere? lol I remember seeing that comic cover back in the day. Great review, man.
Would be cool to pose him with a gun like the Batman Year 2 comic covers. Fear the Reaper series. Ugh I really want to dive into these Knightfall figures. Don’t want to feel the pain in my wallet after gathering up the Mcfarlane Figures. I will 100% splurge on Tim Drake Robin because man, that mcfarlane Robin left a lot to be imagined. I skipped the Bane repaint because I really wanted slimmer buck not just a repaint of that mega figure. Especially since they just through some blue shading on there. Mafex Bane is more of what I want just can’t go down another rabbit hole. Mafex Az Bat looks way better too. Not sure why Todd went with a baby blue the dark blue metallic is way better! Kelly Jones is the way to go! Shot with the dio looks sick! Final shot on the fire escape looks great!
Thanks! I wasn’t really planning to get hooked on these Knightfall Mafex figures, but this one got me considering it haha. I didn’t go super deep into the McFarlane stuff so at least I wouldn’t end up with two completely different collections, but the cost per figure is definitely enough for me to think very carefully haha. Tim Drake will be a must, though!
Glad you like him! I much prefer it over the Hush. Better cape and wires. I think you'll be able to find Bane pretty easily once he releases. Maybe stop motion with this Batman is in order 🤔
