Thank you everyone for helping make my "There Are Other Ways" animatic a huge success! I was so inspired by the feedback that I went ahead and made my 2nd EPIC the Musical animatic, this time for "Done For". It took me 17 days to finish this (it felt longer LOL) and I hope you guys enjoy. This won't be the last animatic I will do for Epic, as I already have the next animatic planned. It's mainly for the sake of "There Are Other Ways" animatic I did before. I couldn't animate the choreography that I wanted had Circe been taller haha

Can I just say, that I love that you included the whole Moly making your imagination appear part? Most just give him immunity to Circe's magic, but I love that you had Odysseus imagine the most powerful/horrific thing he could (that wasn't a god) to combat Circe's chimera.

Thank you! Can't take full credit for that though, as it was an idea by one of the viewers of the livestreams (Chud) I did while making this. It was too awesome an idea to pass up!

Not only is the Cyclops an apt choice to show Odysseus' loss, it is humanoid which contrasts the animal-aligned threat of Circe. Well-done!

In the actual song it’s confirmed that Odysseus does manifest a cyclops also he goes on to give it the club. If you listen closely you can hear the same smashing sound as when Polyphemus first uses the club in Survive.

It also makes sense for him to think of a cyclops. He needs something big and powerful to beat circe's chimera. Of course the first thing that comes to mind (that isn't a god) is the creature that traumatized him by killing his best friend and going on a violent rampage

This looks incredible. Odysseus' facial expressions are on point, and I love the vibe of "reserved control" Circe has...until she doesn't. If I had to critique one thing, the Cyclops' running looks a little weird, but I couldn't for the life of me tell you why. Great animatic

Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed this :) In regards to the Cyclops run, I reviewed it just now, and you're right. I forgot to add a bounce to it running so it looks a bit unnatural now. No worries, as I intend to do a remaster of this and There Are Other Ways once both videos hit 50k views each :)

Thank you so much! I have to give huge props to one of the viewers of my livestream (Chud) who suggested I use the pillar as a club. It matched the thuds in the audio so I can't take credit for that part. The ending, I already had that animated for the start of my animatic for "There Are Other Ways" so it was just a matter of slapping it on there. Thank you so much! I really love drawing extra expressive characters and I'm so glad you noticed all those details, especially the eye color! It's based on Ody singing that the moly "claims" Circe's power so it made sense to me to have his eyes turn the same color as Circe's when she was summoning the Chimera. Thanks again for watching!

It is sad when you think about it. Circe is saying that they took heavy losses and men true nature are pigs. I can't help but wonder if her nymphs were captured and taken advantage of.

Armorbearer. To say the least the implication you make isn’t just true of the nymphs (Yes), Circe is also a victim prior to her meeting of Odysseus. So the turning men into Pigs thing does work on a metaphorical level too

Hahah you're one of the few people who noticed Ody disappearing after that part (plenty of time for him to sneak behind Circe). From what Jay has mentioned, they are summoning actual beings. I think it was mentioned in Wouldn't You Like that the powers included summoning creatures from imagination.

It's alright, I forgot most of what I had learned about Greek mythology in high school and college lol The water transition was actually so I won't have to animate the nymphs running away, but coincidentally, Circe is half ocean nymph so it made sense that she has water powers.

I love this so much, I love your version of Circe, I feel like you "get it." She's amazingly beautiful yes but things like, the way the nymphs hide behind her, the way she magics them away as soon as the vibe shifts to dangerous, the fact that she faces him with her wand and a small dagger, she tries intimidation first, then violence, then seduction in the next song, etc. Like, you understood her, you know? Love this. Really curious to see you take on Puppeteer and other characters.

Lmao the no trauma dumping in your guidelines 💀 But I absolutely love how Circe immediately gives tired mom vibes, my only critique is maybe give her more sharp angles so she looks more threatening. Otherwise, amazing designs and animation!

By far one of my favorite Epic the musical animatics. Your designs are so clean, and fluid. The detail of Circe using water to take the nymphs to safety was such a cool touch since she is originally the daughter of an Oceanid. Other than one other animator, you’re the only person who included that detail

It's fairly confirmed that Circe is human sized if we base it on the animatic Jay officially commissioned from Aniflamma. Besides, I didn't wanna do what everyone else was doing, and the seduction choreography I had planned for There Are Other Ways animatic wouldn't work as well had Circe been taller.

It's finally here!! Love seeing the final product! I really like how Odysseus summons the golden image of the plant in the same way Circe's dagger materialized earlier AND it's right before the lyric "one that claims your power"-it's so perfect. Their facial expressions are on point too

Luthien!!! Hi! Thanks for mentioning that detail! Yes, I made sure to color the plant and the summoning of the dagger the same color because that is Circe using her powers and now because of the moly, Ody has Circe's powers too, hence the yellow.

Yes and No. It was after I had animated that I was told her mother was an ocean nymph so the water powers worked out in the end hehe

@@ns2dstudios Other versions do say she's Hecate's daughter. But my favourite author Madeline Miller went with Perse and Helios. I highly recommend her book "Circe" btw.
