I think Stella is getting over that phase where she bought every bag she ever wanted because now she could afford them. Good for her because it means she is going to be more intentional with her purchases and will be on her way to have a collection that fits her needs/lifestyle more
I see me using those bags in the summer when you just want to have a fun casual look with blue jeans and white blouse etc. etc. . Everyone I know who sold some LV bags, regrets it later! The bags are beautiful, enjoy!
The white multi colors always remind me of Jessica simpson. She's how I got introduced to them I always remember she was obsessed with having a complete set on the show
I think downsizing is a great idea! Your appreciate the bags you keep so much more. Just remember; getting rid of your bags and then buying new ones is not downsizing, it’s replacing.
I’ve downsized to 4 classic bags that fit my lifestyle perfectly - they have everything I need for the situation they were purchased for. They all get used and loved. All other bags have been sold or given away. My new rule is if another bag comes in, a bag I already have needs to go out.
I'm graduating college at the end of spring (as an adult student, mom, and wife who works), so my reward to myself is buying my first Louis Vuitton! Definitely wanting something classic that I will use everyday! It feels like the biggest decision and I've been looking at them for 3 years in anticipation of graduation! Lol
For a first Louis Vuitton bag I would definitely recommend: 1. Speedy B 25 2. Pochette Metis 3. Alma BB All three are amazing handbags! Good luck on deciding and congratulations on graduating!
Me too! Well, I only have eight bags but I am really struggling to use them all. In fact, I' m considering selling a couple--one of which I've never used!! It just sits in my closet looking pretty. I am also a collector but think I'm buying bags for a lifestyle I do not have, especially with the pandemic. Do I really need a hoard of Gucci and LV bags to go to Costco?! Sigh. I miss the days when I used one bag for years (until it fell apart).
Right?! Amazes me how (and why) people will either buy more than one bag at a time or buy a new bag every 2 weeks?? To each is own (and if u can afford it) I suppose but dang.
great video! i downsized years ago - i found that i was buying way too many bags based on youtube unboxings. i bought one bag last year the Chanel XXL (smaller sans "feet") bringing my total to 6/8 (2 chanel, 1 hermes, 1 dior, 1 loewe, 1 LV & 2 goyard totes). love an use everything - but still enjoy seeing videos of unboxings sometimes just for the entertainment. pandemic or not i have the perfect number of bags for me. love your personality!!
I think downsizing is often a part of getting older. Now if YT’er/content creators would also get off the Birkin/Kelly/Constance train, that would be a welcomed change. If you are middle class and your big outings are to Target or the mall, a $10K is not. for. you.
I downsized in 2020/2021 for sure. I sold three bags, retired one that I’ll never get rid of because it was my first LV ever (the Delightful MM!), and sold a few SLGs. (But then I just bought an Alma BB. 🤦♀️)
Hi Stella, I love this collection, I was actually gonna buy the Audra a while back, but I ended up getting the pochette accessoire in the black, I too haven't used it that much and was going to sell it, I recently did a handbag collection video an sale on my channel and the amount of interest in the bag was unbelievable, ultimately I decided to keep it for another while, to give it a chance and as it happens I'm using her currently 😂
I’m actually looking to add to my collection 🤦🏽♀️. I’m graduating at the end of this year and that’s going to be my present to myself. Working full time during a pandemic, mama Bear, and going to school has been tough, so this my little treat ❤️
I own the Theda GM, which I love and don’t want to let go ever. One of my most beautiful bags in my collection, such high quality. I owned the PM many years ago and wore it to death.
Oh my I just bought two multicolor piece from FASHIONPHILE ☺️I am waiting to arrive. But I got the one that look like a speedy in white multicolor and a wallet in the black multicolor. So hopefully I don’t regret it 😍😍😍but I really want it!
The multicolor is amazing!! You won’t regret it. I just had too many handbags. 🤪. Plus with Fashionphile you can keep for a few months and use their buyback if you don’t like them! Win win! 🤗💜
Yes, I own the Ursula in white, with the red interior. She is gorgeous and I only use her in the summer. I purchased it in 2008, my first luxury bag. People always want to purchase it from me but I will never sell it. ❤️❤️❤️
You can add a crossbody strap to both of those bag. I have always send those colorful bags more for teenagers and college students. You don’t see people carrying them too much.
They are beautiful bags, but to me, they read as VERY young, like appropriate for a girl in her 20s. You're young, but personally I just think these are more college student aged!
Hey Stella! I watch your Fly channel and as I was watching your most recent video (I saw an ocean by the way, but then also saw the mt range 😂) I was missing you on this channel too! What are your thoughts on all the new luxury handbag collections out/coming out? Any new wishlist items!? Love all your videos! 👋🏻
I’ve always wanted a multicolor piece. I got the black multicolor key pouch preloved yesterday:). Don’t think I would wear a bag but happy to have something small.
In the same boat. Letting go of some LV handbags now, selling to Fashionphile as well (most likely). Oh...the pain, but they gotta go! It's Damier Ebene for me. I think I'm over it.
@@Peachlover345 I think it was my first LV love. All I wanted was Damier Ebene when I started purchasing luxury bags. For some reason, I'm liking monogram more right now. It's weird. Both prints are beautiful, just a clear preference right now.
Yes I’m downsizing all the bags I HAD to have and haven’t touched for years. I’m selling them and buying a few I know I will use. My bag style has changed now with 4 kids... I’m also not buying new anymore
I have a Boulogne in white multicolor and I seldom use it. Excellent condition. It was my mom’s and she rarely used it either lol I will never part with it bec of the sentimental value obviously ❤️ Anyway, I am down to 12 bags from 30+ when I started my minimalism journey a year ago.
I love both of your multi color Louis Vuitton collectibles. They give me great joy to see others still embrace the love and desire to own them like me. However, it's great that you have decided to downsize your collection. Im not there yet but maybe it will motivate me to get there soon.
I think it would be interesting to show us your entire collection and then have your viewers comment with which 8 pieces they think you'll keep for another 5 years, if not forever. Your capsule collection, as it were. Would be fun to revisit that in a year or so as you update/modify your collection. Streamlining things is always good and I think downsizing will help you really focus on the styles that you come back to again and again instead of the trends that catch your eye briefly and then don't last. Take a photo of the bags instead of buying the actual bag, wait a year or so, and see if you still are "obsessed" with it, because chances are you'll always be able to find it later if you really do want it. Can't tell you how many bags you've had on your channel over the past couple years that you've said you're obsessed with that end up getting sold eventually. Sometimes it's more rewarding to wait instead of impulse buy!
I own the Audra I wouldn’t part with her. I absolutely love her way to much to let her go. Not only are they classics but limited edition staples now. 😘
Honestly for me, the multi colors as well as the seasonal colors and canvases are a bit childish. I love the classic monogram or damier ebene canvases the most. I have 3 bags I rotate that actually get used (speedy 35b in de, Alma bb in de and pochette accessoires in monogram) I have several slgs as well. I never understood buying handbags to just look at lol.
She didn't. She said she got them to live her life with them....jokingly. But it just ended up that way, as with some things we all buy and rarely use.
I love non traditional colors in purses. In my mothers time purses had to match everything. Im glad we've gotten over that. My favorite purse pre loved site is Poshmark. Thats in my budget.
I only have the multicolor pochette accessoires (PA), but I think I would only buy the popular models like the Speedy or the PA. Does down sizing include SLGs? I purchased a pink cherry blossom papillon because it was a limited edition and I really wanted it, not sure if I will wear it :(
They are very heavy because of the beautiful chain , i had GM you can not believe how beautiful that bag was but extremely heavy without any thing on it
Stella I have a lot more then 30 handbags but not designer. I am a Vera Bradley collector and i have more then purses, travel, accessories etc. I needed to downsize but with Vera there is rare ones and one of kinds so it's hard to get rid of.
I love the multicolor canvas but the styles are just a bit too busy for me! Do really like that white bag though, with a longer strap hooked on would be more functional. Maybe keep that one?
I am having anxiety watching you sell back the Marilyn but completely agree with the Audra. It really is person preference. I can’t imagine letting my loves go. Really crazy with bags! Totally miss you! #bartella # strength
They are beautiful bags. I have the Speedy in white multicolor that I have never used. Taken out for pictures but it is a keeper. I do have some multicolor SLGs too. I know I have way too many handbags but I’m a handbag addict 😭. I don’t know the count but I can name them 🤣
I am ready to let go of my Coach bags. Needed and wanted them at the time, but now, that are unused and are taking up valuable real estate. Louis Vuitton and Gucci are my most used bags now.
Ahhh, I love that Audra bag!!! I think it’s one of the prettiest Multicolor bags, but I wouldn’t use it much either since I like shoulder bags. I would love a Noe multicolor though. Can’t believe that you got rid of half your collection ! That’s drastic!
Yes! Downsize, hon! Nobody needs 30 bags! You will feel lighter and have less clutter. Too many options can be overwhelming sometimes and at the end of the day bags are meant to be used and appreciated and are not just pieces of art! “Collector” is just a pleasant way of saying “hoarder”! You’ll free up funds for other stuff/experiences! I have about 15 bags and still think that’s too much so I may need to downsize too!
I like the adra better. But honestly, I’ve never been a fan of these bags. I too, had over 30 bags. A lot of them never used. I’ve been selling to FASHIONPHILE left and right as well. Yup, downsizing as well...
I’m not a fan of the colored LV bags as they don’t seem like a bag I would use very much. I try to buy only the classic bags and even at that I still have a few bags I don’t use very much.
