My head canon: After the events of this game, both Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Junior moved out from New Donk City to a jungle. Both Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Junior then meet King K. Rool and the Kremling Krew for the first time (Donkey Kong Junior had a dangerous encounter with a Kritter, a Klump, and a Krusha). After taking part in the Great Ape War between the Kongs and the Kremlings, DK Senior then married Wrinkly Kong and changed his name to Cranky Kong.

I say Showdown At The Tower needs it more than Giant DK theme tbh. It's too epic to just drop. We already have too many jungle themes and Gangplank Galleon remixes.

While this game will always be a timeless classic, I would scream with joy if they announced a remake on switch with the original art direction ala links awakening remake. That would be incredible!
