I used to hate the barrel boards now they are my favourite. 4 lvl springs is a pain to learn. You have to learn to look back and run forward blind. Amazingly if you start up the ladder and have to run back it's possible. I've had to run back a number of times. Seems impossible but can be done pretty easy.

I never got in the habit of running back on the ladders level at the top, BUT I know the top Donkey Kong players do this if the next barrel after running to the top was not in the correct place - Thank you for the comment!

great video! the spring level is a hard stage to learn.. . out of curiosity..what is your hiscore on donkey kong? i made a video talking about billy mitchell. i dont think he cheated. what do you think?

Finally! A video that slows down and explains the elevator level in detail. Thank you very much 😎. My favorite DK level is the cement factory as I like to call it .. as for Billy Mitchell.... In my opinion he is the original and greatest video game player in history... Period !

Are the springs random or is there a pattern? At the top I know to go on the spring that lands between his legs - it’s just the next spring like you said that messes me up - is that something you just need to watch as you are running towards the ladder to make sure the next spring bounces before the previous spot?

YES - Random, so if the NEXT spring hits between his legs you have to run back or pause before going up the later. BUT if the NEXT spring hits his right foot, you are safe. GREAT Question!

@@StevesRetroGaming i think they are "kinda" random. If you wait for 2 long springs in a row, the 3rd spring won't be long. So, you could wait it out for 2 longs, and go on the 2nd one. If there can be 3 longs in a row, it is pretty rare.Correct me if I am wrong.
