Ship hold music from DKC2 in pristine studio quality. This was made possible by locating the sounds from workstation keyboards and drum machines such as the Wavestation and Roland R8, and plugging them into the music instruction data ripped from the game, plus a little mixing magic to create might have sounded like with the veil of 16bit compression lifted. Part of a project to restore the entire DKC series soundtrack

The underwater themes from the DKC games are soo good, the audio is so clean in these, I also really appreciate the 4 by 3 aspect ratio for the footage.

This level was the farthest me and my cousin were ever able to get on our own. We played it with our grandmother and she was insane at this game, she sped through it like she'd been doing it her whole life. I miss her.

However, if you somehow found the entire GBA soundtrack, that was restored using the original samples - note, "restored", not "remastered", then.... where? A Roland sample CD called LCDX-01 Rhythm Section Instruments. It's a tom sample called "boosh tom" and it's played across multiple pitches for a big sound. It's the same one you hear in the final boss and the credits tune
