Belcha: The number of hits doesn't count, simply push off the edge, two barrels at minimum Arich: 4 hits Squirt: 3 phases of completely closing Squirts eyes (each eye takes 2 hits to fully close) First KAOS: 6 hits (3 to remove the "helmet", then 3 more) Bleak: 6 hits Barbos: 5 hits Second KAOS: 2 hits (one removes the main head, and the other defeats him) First K Roolenstein: 9 hits Second K Roolenstein: 10 hits
Loved all of the bosses in this game....especially with this theme. Squirt took forever for me to figure out how to beat him. Kaos, Arich, and the Snowman are my favorites of the lot
I enjoyed the first Donkey Kong Country, I loved the second one, but just something about this one turned me off. Maybe it was the baby ape, or some of the ridiculous looking bosses or it just was too needlessly complicated for me (DKC2 was just the right level of difficulty for me), but I just wasn't a fan of DKC3 and never even bothered trying to beat it. This was one of the last games of the SNES era. Video games have evolved so much since then, I think they're just too involved for me to get into anymore.
I agree about the difficulty. There were far too many gimmicky levels in DKC 3. I have to disagree about the bosses though. I thought they were all very fun.
I thought DKC 2 was harder. I beat this one but not the other as a kid. Now playing them again they were both easy, but I really don't get why this one got so much hate while the first 2 so much praise. They all feel about the same to me
uafc1 DKC 3 had very poor pacing. Often the gameplay felt like busy work just to get from point A to B. Swoopy Salvo for instance. You had to keep bouncing on those stupid birds. There was rarely a level with fast paced platforming action.
It's SO obvious that this game was made by a different team from the first two games. From the level and character design to the fact the characters speak, everything feels different.
This game has cool Boss music (both standard and final), I really don't like the lack of both in the GBA port. Donkey Kong Land 3 at least had the final boss music (though it was for every boss that time around).
What happens if Baron K.Roolenstein touches you? Is he just flying around activating his stuff or you are just loosing a life on contact with him?-he does says he’s going to bash you good though
Oh come on after all these years I didn't have to throw the barrel in the hole above k. rool to hit in the back during the last boss battle. I could of just did what you just did.
This is the game I had growing up. It was very well made but I always found it bland compared to DKC1 and 2 which I had borrowed briefly from a friend.
the boss rush was good actually great its just i don't care for the game.. like the music isn't what you would call a hype boss battle.. in fact.. i almost dosed off just watching this.. probly a game i'd never pick up.. good job man!! im sure its harder then it looks
spydur ek I know this is a 1 year old comment but the game is pretty fun and waaaaayyyyy better then your standard Mario games, if you want a challenge please try the whole Donkey Kong trilogy including this one.
