Flight of the Zinger from Donkey Kong Country 2 restored to HD. This was made possible by locating the original audio samples used to create the soundtrack from the keyboard workstations they came from (such as the Korg Wavestation and Roland R8) and combining them with the music instruction data ripped from the game, plus a little mixing and mastering magic to create what the track would have sounded like if the veil of 16-bit compression was lifted.

This is part of a project to restore the entire DKC Series soundtrack.

The hive levels were some of the most visually striking of DKC2.

shame there were only 4 including the boss.

@@jadendafinger Most of the level theme only appeared 3 times. Including boss arenas, the theme that appear the most is the topsail one, but that's because you fight BOTH Krow and Kreepy Krow on topsails. Then you have the Volcano, Swamp, and hive levels that appear 4 times because of Kleever, Kudgel and King Zing's boss fight. 2 other themes that appear 4 times are the Ice Cave and brambles, because of Enguarde/Squawk's portions of Animal Antics. And at the bottom of the barrel, we have the Haunted mansion, Flying Kroc and Krocdile core themed, which all only appear once.

@@NeoArashi And brambles appear very frequently in bonus rooms in later part of game, even though the levels themselves have completely different theme.

@@metalliholisti3728 I didn't want to count the bonus room, as they are only mandatory if you aim for the true ending, but you are correct. Bramble theme is the most frequently used "out-of-place" theme for bonus rooms.

When the piano comes in it hits just right man. The commanding hits of the drums really keeps you engaged in the rhythm.

The looping sounds don't sound as muffled as the ones in the previous restored version. The snare seems closer to how the original sounded, and the guitar is... Sam: (Stare) It's fine. Can't promise that others will not bring the frequency/pitch business though.

@@MazterP28 then explain why is the first hive level is called "Hornet hole"? Also, hornets are known to attack beehives. Those could be beehives they invaded. And even the DKC wiki states that they looks like wasps. So I'll admit I wasn't entire right either. Lastly, bees aren't yellow and black, except in Cartoons.

This is if Donkey Kong was on the next Frontline of war about to get in a Zinger Chopper as he heads into honey glazed fiery horizon zero death hard core mode. I'm talking about waves of lost dead banana snatching mother respecting gameplaying retro loving apes bro. Counted amongst us all man. Let's just say this... If DKC anything teamed up with the Medal of Honor series..this would be the games soundtrack. I guarantee it would sell overnight instant classic and I would personally oversee everything to make sure it was full on DKC war style with this track. You can't deny the possibility of what this can do. You can't. If you do you limit yourself. Bro..DKC meets actual war game with this track. Do it.
