At last! Diddy Kong & Dixie Kong have infiltrated Kaptain "King" K. Rool's Flying Krock! It's time to teach him a lesson for ape-napping Donkey Kong!
K. Rool is completely invincible for this whole fight, as in you have no way of jumping on his head to hurt him this time. But that doesn't mean he can't be damage in some other way.
For this fight, K. Rool will use his signature gun, the Blunderbuss, to deal with you. It's not just a simple proto-shotgun. It can do all sorts of funky things. He can shoot fire out of it for a speed boost. He can shoot cannonballs from it, he can shoot spiked balls from it.
Also he can shoot ghostly fumes from it, colored blue, red, and purple. Blue fumes freeze you in place, red fumes slow you down, and purple fumes reverse your controls, all in an attempt to make it easier to hit you.
Somehow, K. Rool can also turn invisible and teleport, and his Blunderbuss has a vacumn function. This is important!

To hurt Kaptain K. Rool, you have to take whatever loose Kannonball falls out of his Blunderbuss, and then throw it back at the gun while it's trying to suck you up. But you can't take too long on this, as the Kannonball will eventually self-destruct.
After the Blunderbuss gets jammed, be prepared to jump again, as it launches the Kannonball back out while cooking K. Rool alive.
Some of his shots don't fly out in a straight line, either. Some will bounce around, instead, while others will swirl around in the air.

After getting cooked enough times, Kaptain K. Rool is finally done for the count, and the two kiddy Kongs celebrate with what may be their 75th and final Kremkoin!
But then... K. Rool stands up once more, ready to get rid of these little monkeys for good! That's when Donkey has HAD ENOUGH!
Donkey Kong breaks out of his own chains, and deals a powerful uppercut against K. Rool. It sends him out of his Flying Krock, and all the way down to the bottom of Crocodile Isle, where he gets eaten alive by hungry Krem Quay sharks!
And thus... it would seem that Diddy's Kong Quest has been completed! For now...

Diddy, with his girlfriend Dixie, visited Cranky Kong for a job well done, but then it turns out from Cranky that there is a Lost World that needs to be traveled through before Diddy can truly finish his video game adventure.
In the meantime, Cranky wanted to show Diddy a special place: The podium of Cranky's Video Game Heroes!
Here, you are ranked based on how many DK Coins you were able to collect throughout the game. If you got every coin that you could, you should have exactly 34 of them, which puts Diddy Kong in 2nd Place, in front of Yoshi's 29 and behind Mario's 39. If you were slipping far behind in DK Coins, you'll also see Link, from The Legend of Zelda.
Also... There's the "No Hopers" section, which seems to have Sonic's shoes and Earthworm Jim's blaster next to a trash can. Huh... In 2021, this kinda does hurt harder with Sonic now than it did back then, while for Earthworm Jim, this REALLY hits HARDER for him.

The Cast sequence takes place in Klubba's Kiosk, which shows off every single character in the game. First, the non-Kremling enemies, them the Kremling enemies, then the bosses, then the Animal Buddies, and then all of the Kongs, including Donkey Kong, Dixie Kong, and the star of this show, Diddy Kong! What a fascinating Kong Quest he sure had!
After the credits, you visit Cranky one more time. He mentions that if you start a new game and press down multiple times, you may be able to access new secrets, such as a Sound Test and a Cheat Mode!
THEN the game finally goes back to the Title Screen. I check my save data, and find out that I've only completed 87% of.
There's more to do in this game, and more DK Coins to find. Looks like its finally time to start paying Klubba the Kremkoins I've been collecting for him.
