I love the attention to detail that some of the bananas aren't even going in. It goes to show that just because you're evil doesn't mean you have good aim
When I played this, Tiki Tong straight up scared me. That menacing stare into your soul, that horrifying jaw and the fact he melts his peons in banana sauce to form HANDS. That's just creepy. This boss was a bit tough. Took me QUITE a few tries, but Feather Fiend robbed me of WAY more lives.
@David Gordon the joke was done 9 years ago, do you really think jokes were much else than referencing other Nintendo games? Also I find these comments to be charming and wholesome
This guy is so cool, he's basically a primordial fire god. All the other big baddies in Donkey Kong games end up being animals of some sort, which I still totally love, but this guy breaks the mold in an awesome way. Plus it makes WAY more sense for him to steal all those bananas, it's how he creates his minions (instead of K. Rool, who I guess just has a huge hankering for bananas...?)
tehnintendofan123 actually, he stole them so the tikis would not come. But since K. Rool was defeated, the tikis came back. As you know the tikis are made of bananas.
Nyah Senai I hope so, even if people say they won’t come back. Last time we saw them was in smash run for smash bros 3DS. Maybe they will make another appearance in the new smash game or if we get lucky enough, maybe in the next donkey Kong game.
If you die to this boss, it is really unfair. They don't restart you with Diddy. The only way to avoid some of those hand attacks is to have running DK, and sometimes it doesn't work. This and the level before it are stupidly difficult. Did I mention I HATE the rocket barrel?
Evidence of why K. Rool should be considered insanely powerful: He’s able to keep up with the same Ape (enough to be his most iconic arch nemesis) who punched the moon out of orbit in this game!

Sophie Leiton Toomey only for hands, imagine if he would have just captured the same animals that they had and it would be the final boss. It would have been so awesome
I think we can all admit that the final boss in that game now is pretty lame, but listening to this made me realize how much better it could have been, for example imagine him with four hands, more attacks, perhaps even smashing those as fists down with no oppourtunity to hit them. Then the times you'd have to hit them, the hands i would say maybe 3 times and the head 5 times. Then attacks with each hand getting destroyed become more faster. as for the head itself in the fight. i imagine him breathing fire and you either jump over it or duck under it, depending on how he breathes it. for the tiki minions, i would add more, specifically on the seekers. adding 2 more would increase the challenge on dodging. Hand attacks: Clap together but the two other hands slam down fast on the ground on both sides making less room for dodging ability. Raining down the hands as fists and are invulnerable because you have to hit the gems. a quick slam succsession where all hands slam down quickly on kongs current position, one by one and the last one stays longer. Adding spice to this phase, one Hand begins to Burn and slam down creating a shockwave, can't hit it because it's on fire. As more hands get destroyed the quicker the attacks bevome and get done in a faster succsession Head Only Attacks: Of course the slam on the ground but adding a variant where the top stays on and you can't hit the tiki. A fire breath attack with two Variants. One: flys down to the side and faces the direction of the Arena und breathes fire, similar to the cliff boss. Two: Breathing fire from above going from one side of the arena to the other, you would have to jump over it. The Tiki Minions of course are also lame, so adding more and later with more hits even add size differations making things more difficult. I would think with these amount of attacks you would at least get hit once or twice, so staying with the amounts of hearts he gives you is acceptable no?
Yes, bit of a downer.. but its the setup with the barrel, that makes the stage extremely hard for moderate gamers. Im still stuck in my 3-DS on this final stage, after being stuck on 8-7, Red Red Rising
This boss was pretty much the only thing I didn't like about the game. Really uncreative and basically a rip-off of Andross, Wham Bam Rock etc. Doesn't help that it even steals K.Rool's 'one messed up eye' shtick !
6:57-7:10 I remember standing up and hugging my sister as this specific part of the credits played in the background on the tv when I finally beat the game. I was actually crying. I had lost so many lives trying to beat the game and it was such a glory when I finally did it.
I played this game when I was smaller for hours. I wasn't very good as it took me nearly 2 years to finish haha. Finishing it felt awesome though. I don't know what was it with this game, but every level, every world that I completed felt like a huge accomplishment. I was very young and maybe completing all those challenging levels really made me feel great cus all other games I played were easy I don't know. When I got the final cutscene after killing this guy daaaamn, I felt like I was the king of the world. 2 years of fun, frustration, rage, and despair finally ended. I will never forget this game. I'm way older now and have played other games in PlayStation and all that but this is still my favorite game of all time.
0:04 Best song in the game and they decided to only use it in minecart and rocketbarrel levels... Luckily they didn't do the same with the Snowmads' theme in Tropical Freeze.
Furious Fire is a strong contender, for sure, but I used to not like it as much as I do now. Therefore I prefer Volcano Vibe. I have to disagree on Palmtree Cove though. I prefer Feather Fiend much more.
What i have been noticing about facing him with diddy is that at the end when you just have to hit him 1 or 2 more times he can kill diddy in one shot. Meaning that if his heart rate has 2 it will take the 2 away. It happened to me 3 times already. But i still managed to beat the boss.
Both have tiki in the name both have glowing eyes giant hands which are they're primary weapons and have simular themes also they remind me of each other too
Jacky here turns invisible (to make it hard to find the button). The crates stack again (again adding another crate). Jack attacks u with 2 fireballs at a time now, with a laser or 2 in between. when u get to the bottom of the stacks... again, the barrel will appear, allowing u to hit his head again. do this twice, and his body will disconnect with the spring, thereby crashing to the ground (wen his body disconnects, he does the wave bye-bye like in 64) wen the tiki comes out (continued nxt pst)
If i was designing this game, i would've made these bosses go from easy to hard, not the other way around. Nonetheless, congrats on the 100th vid dude. In other comments, no wonder those animals are hypnotized by that music, it's addicting. It's the only music i don't mind having stuck in my head! ROCK ON DONKEY KONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't forget Wham Bam Rock and Wham Bam Jewel from Kirby Super Star (and Ultra). Though maybe they don't count because they both only have a single hand attacking.
