hah yeah i remember i remember shrieking like madmen at the cutscene where donkey and diddy witness owls ritualistically smashing a single banana with a huge mallet
it is a terribly uncomfortable shirt. it is made of, like, OR-scrub material. i have no idea how i fit into it as a 14-year-old. the phrase “not well” comes immediately to mind. it clings to the body like a sausage skin. i’m glad it’s off my body, back home, in the bottom of a box in the top of my closet where it belongs.
Tim Rogers, I am a 40 year-old man who only looks at the internet accidentally and thus I have only learned of your existence because a friend had shared a link to a video of yours. Today is the 10th of November, 2019, and I'm pausing work on some "Weird Al" Yankovic art for a gallery show to let you know I enjoy your videos profusely and sincerely, as I have had them streaming in the background for the last couple days since that fateful link was shared. The DKC shirt in this video finally triggered me to have at the keyboard across the room and confess. I too, OWN that Donkey Kong shirt (pre-ordered mine at a Toys 'R' Us) and I too, have it packed away in a box at my parents house like so many other weirdo nerds, I'm sure. I relate absolutely to several of your personal stories growing up in the age of video games (purchasing Shadows of the Empire comes to mind) and your scripted shows are more than entertaining. Thanks for some real laughs, creative writing, and genuine words. I'll stay tuned. 👍
Bob Rissetto thanks for watching dude there MIGHT even be some new Donkey Kong Country content coming up soon . . . (25th anniversary is in a couple weeks, etc)
I like the wiimote and nunchuck combo. Flicking the wiimote, causing DK to roll, feels like throwing the ball with my father. Landing the jump is as rewarding as catching the ball when thrown back.
This is the most fun review like ever... Humorous, no nitpicking on irrelevant things. Just the gameplay. And a nice and recognizable sidestory (same generation). Kudos and chapeau! Just coincidentally found while looking for a review to see what’s DK for the Switch is about for my almost 8 year old daughter (and myself ;-)). To end in 3th person... A big thank you from your new subscriber ;-)
i'm not gonna lie, i think we're getting into a weird enough time period that if worn with enough confidence that shirt is actually Good they should reprint it
Oh no... Kiddy Kong. I'm starting to think Kiddy Kong will never make his appearance on the Nintendo Switch unlike Super Mario Sunshine HD or Metroid Prime Trilogy HD.
love this game its in my all time top 5 my only gripes is its hard to chage momentem with the controls and that theres not more animal buddies like enguarde on the water stages
I remember getting the hype VHS that Nintendo gave out for Donkey Kong Country at a Nintendo Powerfest in 93. I was quite young though. I remember being very excited for the game, saving up monies, and getting it when it came out. I kinda fell off the series though cause I was a kid and had a short attention span. This is a long way of saying "You have gotten me excited for this game, thank you Tim." #justiceforkiddykong
4:45 Skip to the best part of this Donkey Kong switch version video review/playthough. Need more Vblog tim roger standing awkwardly in public with a 1994 videogame shirt doing monologue story time. please do more.
As a brazilian-born prick, DKCTF sounds 99% like a brazilian child television show. Maybe your reference is the infamous Simpsons' episode? Because they kinda nailed it there.
A year or so later, and Super Mario 3D World for Switch is now a thing (well, almost. It's still not out at the time of this comment), and Galaxy and Sunshine are part of Super Mario 3D All-Stars. Still no signs of the others though...
Formally requesting an hour-long video on rubbish pre-order shirts and other things that have and always will get kids beat up. Especially ua kids who don't need to give any extra incentive to be beaten up
This game is kinda bad because the mechanics are bad. the timing is kinda off, you can't jump/move smothly how you want. same goes for swimming. Too bad, it's a shame or do i just not know how to play this game ?
I wouln't say you don't know how to play it, you just have to get accostumed to the flow of the game, if you played returns, it should be easier for you, but in the recent games, you are supposed to feel heavy, like DK. If you have other questions about the game, feel free to ask me, I love TF.
