Electrics themselves are really quiet though? Or is this meant to replicate the sound of an acoustic without the physical need for a full size hollow acoustic guitar?
It has piezo pickup, that feed the electronics for headphones use. It sounds like an unplugged electric to an outside listener. So the headphones or an amp are needed for any usable sound.
How is this guitar when it comes to fingerpicking? That is my main style of playing, Travis picking etc. do you think it’s a good choice for silent practice? I like the concept a lot but worry it won’t be comfortable with my style.
If you use it as for acoustic tones, it may need a bit of eq, which was what I did in this video. So far I think it sounds best plugged into a guitar amp giving like a hybrid (acoustic/electric) tone...I love the portability as well! The iron frames however, aren't the most comfortable when sitting and playing for long. It's okay standing though. Overall, I think the quality and features are a GREAT! value for the price !
