Donner Yellow Fall Delay Pedal Demo 

I wish these Donner pedals existed in the 90s. What sounds could I have come up with if only I could have afforded more pedals.

Turn off the Reverb if you're going to show when a delay pedal can do

I own one. Nice pedal. It does color your tone slightly. It darkens it. Great for setting everything to 12 o’clock and playing rhythm. Or set to taste for kicking on during a solo. Would be excellent if it had tap tempo delay.

Delay pedals are always called “analog” if the chip emulates analog effects.

Sounds cool, and in amazon its pretty cheap and affordable, at least here in México the gear its expensive. This little delay is a great option

It's an amazing pedal for the price. It's great for all kinds of delay combos. I will always own one and it takes up little to no space on pedal train either. I'll just run reverb, compressor and this through a base amp on days.

From what I've seen, digital delays don't decay the sound with each echo, whereas the sound of the echoes on an analogue delay will decay over time. It doesn't so much refer to the technology used in the effect. The clean sound has a kind of reverb effect

one of the cool effects you can get with an analog delay is twisting the rate knob while it's in self oscillation. you get trippy pitch bending sounds. i wish you would have demonstrated that although I'm not sure if it can being that it's an emulation of analog delay.

These are great for the $. I have heard some 200.00 pedals that do not sound as good.

This is a good pedal effects for beginners or shitty players because it allows to muddle your errors by that sustained sound

I'm trying to figure out what delay pedal I should get for my pedal board, I'm between this and a Carbon Copy, but I'm only going to use delay a bit so I'm thinking of this since it sounds good and is a lot cheaper than a carbon copy, does that sound like an idea?

I just got mine in the mail about two hours ago. Cost me a total of $18 US bucks, which included delivery (brand new). Seriously, for that price you cannot go wrong. I've also got an early 80's Maxon AD-9 (which is worth more than TEN TIMES this unit!!) and this cheap little delay stacks up well against it. We certainly live in a privileged era of guitar gear!

I just bought one of these, and bought their reverb and modulation pedals, im not a professional guitar player, played drums professionally in my younger days, so i know pro gear to beginner, ut took up guitar about 25 years ago, and i a Gibson les paul standard, American Strats, ive owned some of the best Amps, Marshalls, Fender, Mesa Boogies, and guitar pedals, still have my Gibson, American Fenders and some Botique Amps..but i got these Donner Pedals to just Accent my Orange Micro Dark, and they do the job nicely, great video review, no they are not Boss, MXR, Keely, or some of those companies putting out single pedals that cost more than what their worth, but these cheap babies do a good job for the money

Between this and the Donner Wave, are the best delay pedals I own.

I'm looking for a delay with small footprint (leaving behind a DD-20) preferably with tap tempo capabilities this is within a similar price point as buying two of these (which would probably do what I want as well). Any suggestions?

For that price I don't think you can find better delay pedal. Too bad amazon doesn't ship to my country (Croatia) and on ebay is to expensive with shipment.

It emulates analog delay, so it should oscillate. Line 6 DL4 analog delay does that!!!!!!

Time option demo is Practically skipped from review. The rest is useless since "time" is set at noon position, which is messy and makes demo of top dials is all messed up. Thank you.. Anyway

Interesting to hear your comments about the Yellow Fall not being a right pedal. Mine adds an overtone in the high end, which I found annoying. Maybe they changed the circuit since you posted this in 2016. Because of the added treble I can't use and don't recommend the Yellow Fall. It is a well built pedal although it's too easy to accidentally move the big knob. It would be better if they used the small knobs for all three controls.

Analog delays use a loop tape, yes a tape, like cassette tape. Hence the Analog - There is no such thing as an analog "chip" really. If its a chip its digital.

The 'ECHO' knob actually is for the tone! Dark/bright.

2:39 why do all (most) analog delay pedals not show if it can self oscillate?? That's one of the fun parts to an analog delay pedal. Let it go and fuck with the time knob. It's one of the great joys to owning an analog delay pedal (if this can even do it, since it's digital... but seemed like it would?? But we'll never know. Thanks)

hi can you tell me what current this requires, as I'm reading conflicting info on line, some say it needs 42mA but others say it needs a 500mA supply, but my pedalboard power supply only has 1 x 500mA output and I've already got another pedal that needs this one. Thanks

You did not demonstrate a slap back setting.

They are cheap and they sound cheap. Good for rockabilly slapback and that's it, but still the fidelity is crap. Same with the G-Fuzz.
