Donny should be in one of the Big Red Chairs on The Voice!!!! He's done it all and would be a true fountain of knowledge for someone wanting to entertain!
Such a great interview. It really shows what a great person Donny Osmond is and why I have been a fan of him and all of the Osmonds since they were on Andy William's show.
I didn’t pay too much attention to Donnie Osmond over the years, but now I find myself not only watching a lot of his recent performances, but watching and appreciating the careers and performances of the entire Osmond family. Extremely talented and personable family. I have seen some awesome shows and fun interviews on RU-vid and can see how much they all love performing. Keep at it Donnie. Keep at it Marie. Keep at it Osmonds.
See what I mean ...anyone who took the time to get to know tge real "yous"...become lifetime fans. Period. So yes its your talent. And, soooo much more. 😀 ❤️
You tube is wonderful but those of us who were ( being Marie's age etc) lived to tell tge story...bought tickets to Donny and Marie show just to be in audience... lol...we were crazy fans of theirs...lol...STILL are. Crazy . And fans ...love tge Osmond family 4eva!
I was 8 when I was first a Donny fan in 1972. As a British citizen, the Osmonds were inaccessible and untouchable and mostly invisible. I am now 57 and I loved Donny through all his ups and downs over the years. He seems like such a genuine and sincere guy. Would love to see him perform live or even better, meet him.
A Soldier of Love, thank you Donny, for being you, for transforming our belief in the good, and supporting the world in such a kind, positive, powerful way.
He’s such a nice guy. So refreshing to see that in a entertainer these days. Not to many around anymore. I’ve loved him since I was 12 years old, always will
It's lovely to see Donny happy and grounded, there always seemed something wholesome about him, I've admired him since i was 11yrs old i'm now in my late 50s. Well done Donny i'm proud of you.
I have an immense amount of respect for Donny and the solid foundation he stands on. Being a 62 year old guy, I've never been a "Donny" fan. But I am a "Donny&Marie" fan; the two of them with that playful, strong, instinctive brother/sister bond, have always had unique magic together, and I've never seen a better pairing in entertainment.
I met him once and observed him in line at Christmas time. Both times he was disconnected and distant. I wonder if he connects when he chooses to be on but has plenty of disconnect times. This is not a criticism. It may be draining to be on all the time and I caught him in his of moments which we all have.
Very interesting interview. One day, I saw Donny and his wife going into the Provo Temple as I was coming out.It is great to know that with all his popularity, he is a down to earth family man. He also sat two rows in front of me at the Tuacahn theater in St. George Utah when his nephew was starring as Joseph. My daughters had pictures of him all over their bedroom walls.
Oh, Donny Osmond! - Putting your gold records away so that they wouldn't compete with your children's and grandchildren's drawings from school! That touched my heart so deeply! Such love, humility, and commitment to your family! You are a wonderful dad and grandpa! ...I had the chance to be your great niece's first grade teacher while in Sandy, Utah, during 2005-2006 school year. Her name was Ali Osmond, a cute little freckle-faced, very blonde girl who looked like I imagined your mom would have looked as a little girl. She was wonderful, just like her grandpa, Tom Osmond, and her dad, and everyone else in your family, it seems! I kept asking her mom to set up an arrangement so that my own two children and I could meet you, but I ended up moving back to OC, Calif, and never got the chance to meet you! (I guess I didn't think she really WOULD get around to setting it up!) THEN, finally, in 2015, when I begged my son to go with me on short notice to go see you and Marie in LV and asked my dad and his wife to take care of my 7 year old triplets, you were actually sick! I couldn't believe my bad luck!! I had even paid extra to have a mingle with you after the show! :( But, I still admire you, not only for your talent, but for your perseverance in sticking to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, even though you've been surrounded by other opportunities and people during your entire life! I think you're just wonderful, and still hope to meet you someday! I did meet Jimmy one day at Church in 1985, when I was 20, back in the Huntington Beach singles ward, when my friend wanted to go to the back row after Sacrament meeting so that she could meet him. But, meeting him was just not the same as meeting you, somehow! Well, maybe someday! ...PS: my Mom's maiden name is Davis, too!
Donny Osmond the art of putting your Gold Records downstairs in the basement and only displaying your grandkids drawings and art up that’s very sweet and very touching to my soul
My daughter only listened to Donney. She saw him first on Andy Williams show and he was so cute. She is only 3 yrs younger than Donny. I thought it was cute that she was so young and really held on to him,. and still does. She started going to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at age 12. I was opposed to that as we were all Methodists. I wouldn't let her go to Seminary and she crawled out her bedroom window and went!! Anyway at age 18 she joined the LDS Church. She was always talking to me about the Church. For YEARS!!!! Well, one day a certain Missionary came to my house. at her invitation and that did it for me. He was so young and so homesick. I balked a long time, but between him and her, my son and I joined the Church. That was 39 yrs ago. So 6 months later my other daughter did too. We are active and loving it. So not only is Donny a great entertainer, but a wonderful Missionary. Thanks Donny.
I’ve been watching clips of Donny because I’d heard of him but didn’t know much about him and his sister. But he seems really nice and cool. If he’s Peacock on The Masked Singer, that’s one cool peacock 😎
Donny always speaks so kindly of Elvis. I've always heard of what a good person Elvis was ...and I believe Donny is a good person, also. I bet Elvis loved talking to Donny's mother ...if he got to meet her. Donny's mother kind of reminded me of Elvis' mother. Elvis knew the Osmonds were the "real deal".
Donny in early 90’s, I’m thinking it may have been in 1990 performed at a venue in Portland Or call the starry night. I was supposed to go with a young women who had MS. She ended up being too sick to go to the show. He took the time to go see her at her home the next day. I just sat back in their kitchen and let them have their time, but I’ve been a fan ever since. He took at least an hour of his day to spend time with Kelsey. He’s a very kind man.
Jessi Brunson although I don’t share the same religious beliefs that he has, it’s nice to know he is a good person and treats others with kindness. Peace and love to him.
Kay Muldoon ...I agree! I am a Christian and I believe he is, also. I know they have some different beliefs than I do, but...they believe, Jesus Christ, is our Savior and I do, too. Thanks for your comment, Kay!
Jessi Brunson he is Mormon so he is Christian! He seems like such a genuine guy and I really admire how strong he is in his faith! I’m Catholic, but I get happy when someone is a Christian because as many people have said, “All Christians just have a different way of praising our Lord.” So I’m just glad people are Christian, but if they aren’t that’s just what they want to do and I’m okay with that as long as they’re respectful to people who do have beliefs. I honestly don’t care what other people do with their lives though...
I’ll be 64 in August, I was listening to his music and had the 45’s . Still have his new music today on CD . To You And Your Family, Thank You for a lot of great memories.
Is Donny still performing in Vegas? I would love to fly out to see him. Really wish he would do concerts close by. He and his family seem like such great people. I remember the first time I heard "Soldier of Love" on my car radio..I LOVED it and was so glad to hear him singing again. I still have the cassette. Still have all of my records from the 70's, also.
My cup runnith over!❤ Donny is so wonderful as is the whole family! I can't tell you how much they have and still do mean to me! Will love them forever!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Kay Muldoon the fact that some people think he uses Botox is stupid. I think he did try it once, but he said he hated it and never did it again. He’s got great genetics and people are just jealous oof
Donnie thanks for your frankness and honesty! I remember you as a child when we visited your family with Wayne Bennett (family member who was deaf) You were humble and hard working. I loved your families Red Room where you all decompressed! Thanks for your gifts to us.
I don't know if I have ever seen a more real person in my lifetime. Just a really nice, decent, loving person. So much respect to Donny Osmond. I have been a fan of his since his Donny & Marie Show in the 70's.
Great interview! I've been an Osmond fan since 1971..the days of Osmania! I had a big crush on Donny😍 Donny is such a real down to earth person. He is such a nice guy. He still has that wonderful voice! Happy 60th Donny! He looks absolutely fabulous! I am so happy that he is still performing after 55 years..God bless him. He said that he'll continue to perform as long as he can bc he loves it. I hope that is a long time to come..Long live Donny Osmond! A forever fan! Thank you for sharing!
Super interview, Bob Evans! With Donnie Osmond! Primero uno!!! Hadn’t seen this one at all! So happy for RU-vid, so we can see these individuals TV shows or slots or whatever! Yes, Donnie is a great man and human being, and so are you, Bob!
Donny, don't you hide those awards. Your children & grandchildren are very, very proud of you ...and I'm sure they would love seeing them on a wall. You're an humble, kind man.
I would like to share why I follow Donny. Donny is a very humble individual and is amazing that he has been able to avoid drugs and alcohol and womanizing that so many other entertainers have craved to. He doesn't preach his religion. However, he exemplifies his steadfast believes, totally admirable. Donny is a real showman and is a real human being.
I finally got to see Donny and Marie in Las Vegas 2 weeks ago, and just watching the two of them and the dancers, I thought "I wish I could get up there and dance with them." Have not had the opportunity to really meet Donny in person, but I did get a high five from him, and that was the highlight for me of the whole trip. I've had dreams about having conversations with him, like talking to someone you've known for so many years. I believe I will meet him someday.
Yes, donnie......you are comprised of many things, including your religion. I admire you for so many things......your talent, your personality, your long lasting marriage, and your belief in God. You are a fine example!!! I hope I have the opportunity to see you in concert someday!! Thank you!
How great to hear these brilliant, different to the norm questions. It was exciting to see what Donny would say in reply. Loved that Matt Damon story!!
I agree Donny is a very humble man who loves his wife, family and fans. He really reaches out to his fans. I personally love how he talks about his wife and family. Such a loving humble man. I would love to get a hold of him to surprise my sister. LOL when we were growing up he was literally glued to our bedroom wall! When she married and moved out I had to tear the drywall off and put new dry wall up!
👌FABULOUS interview. But we the fans should have been asked that question not Donny. 'Cause Donny, yes, as much as you'd like to think it's Talent. Your gift. It is, or was, but he's right we the fans Def. Loved a combination of fact that we loved that you Osmond boys were the whole pkg. Your life values from being LDS...made you very attractive. To us. As fans. And you are right many people have joined the church and wanted to have what your family has. My childhood friend married a missionary. My Sis got married in the Temple...my Mother let me sell every worldly possession just to stay in Vegas during your Residency...and so many of us are better people because of you and your family...and still would catch a show of yours whenever we can...Maybe not sell everything now, but you've managed to hold onto us for a lifetime not only because of your takent...but also because we know your heart. Who you are. And are proud to take a lil' of your goodness with us, on our journies. And we thank YOU. And your family. And your beautiful patiently accepting wife, showing us how to become better women as well. The circles complete. You can't get rid of us ever now. :-) And we wouldn't want it any other way. (Not proof reading this novel...lol...hope the typos have been kept to a minimum)
THE LDS CHURCH LIKE MANY OTHERS PREACH "A DIFFERENT GOSPEL". THE APOSTLES WARNED ABOUT MEN OR EVEN AN ANGEL COMING ALONG PREACHING A DIFFERENT GOSPEL THAN WHAT THEY PREACHED ...
We use to watch him and his sis sing on tv ! Seemed like fun, but I know they must have worked hard as children. Maybe we'll see them again sometime on tv.
I don’t mean any disrespect to Donny Osmond at all and Hope that he’s healthy; but I’m sure because of who he is; he has access to great HEALTH CARE than most of us and goes to his doctors appointments with no waiting for doctors or patrons in the waiting room and they make accommodations for him especially during the coronavirus pendemic covid-19.
You know sadly Elvis is gone noow and because of Debbie putting you together with Susan Boyle on dwts you brought singing together with her was magical and I fell in love with you I had already fallen in love with her when she sang I dreamed a dream for Simon Cowell and part of that dream was to sing with you it was just magic and watching some of her dream come true singing with you was just magical. She's the one who really made me a true fan of yours and I'm sure many others from the Elvis era we found another gorgeous guy who could really sing I'm sure a new fan is not that important to you and what I say but yyou and Susan are magical when you sing together so don't stop the dream is not lover for the fans and this cinderella story and since your wife made dwts happen kudos to Debbie and thanks for knowing him singing with Susan would be magic and knowing that the dream couldn't be over. The cinderella story has to go on for the fans
I Love this guy he is so down to earth...BUT I did see his show in vegas and it was great, I wanted to do the meet and greet BUT I did not have the whole amount to get there...they denied me and I said just ask Donny he will say its ok...and it was a NO GO...I am 68 now and will NEVER forget that....and it wasn`t that long ago.....
Ginger Girl so are you suggesting he should have let you in to something just because you wanted to? I wonder how many people try to see him after a show? There is a reason why the meet and greets are not free, they last longer than the show. Just saying.
Well done Donny Osmond you speak the truth in this video for a while now family and friends have over the last few months plus have changed they don’t text me anymore family really don’t phone me it’s all happened since Christmas when my nephew committed suicide and our dad passed away it’s all changed
