@fredball8240 Nothing is certain until people run at the Olympics through heats to semis to finals. Kishane is definitely a heavy favourite, but he isn't the only one going to be improving in times.

Kishane literally dropped a 9.85 in China last year. Non-Jamaican haters like to create this fantasy in their minds that Jamaica has a different type of atmosphere that causes Jamaicans to ONLY run fast IN Jamaica. Meanwhile, our women have 15 of the 24 medals handed out at the last EIGHT OLYMPIC 100m events (check the stats), our men & women have won MULTIPLE international meets, INCLUDING THE OLYMPICS, and our men have WON OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALS for two different countries they were not born in: Donovan Bailey (Canada) & Linford Christie (England), in BACK TO BACK Olympics. Jamaicans are fast EVERYWHERE, not just in Jamaica. Period. 🎤🖐🏿

The most ridiculous one I've seen is that the Track is Shorter.. SMH!
@johnsonanum
@johnsonanum 23 дня назад
It's not about the atmosphere in Jamaica. It's about running in front of a large home crowd that supports you (it affects all sportsmen), not having jet lag from travelling to another continent to race the next day, and other factors like diet and family which you are used to. When we talk about a different type of atmosphere, it's usually about sprinters like Omanyala who live in high altitudes.

@@daowonimdee In Kishane and Oblique, you have good reasons to be optimistic. I just want to remind you that some athletes from other countries have been playing it safe all year and some are pretending to have less in the tank than they actually do, but in the Olympics final, they will set the track on fire. Also keep in mind that while Kishane is the favourite by World Lead, he is not as experienced or well-funded for international competitions as some of the people he will race at the Olympics. Noah Lyles for example, spends large amounts of money on healthcare during major competitions -- he can come to Paris with a personal masseuse and chiropractor and sleep in a high-quality hotel room instead of the cardboard beds at the Olympic village in Paris.
