At 77 years and facing the twilight of this and all that it is, it`s so nice to go back to a sane and comfortable time,,,,and imagine, this includes the 60`s.

can you imagine writing a song and to have such a beautiful woman sing it back to you? I think Donovan seems a bit abashed...he may be reminded of the source of his words?
What a great live version! His voice is deeper and more mature and he sings slower than on the record. She's good too, but I wish he were doing it on his own.
What I like about Donovan is that he has seen all the "stuff" of this world and yet has remained a normal once married down to earth man in the street!
Judging by Ms. Gayle's appearance, I'd guess somewhere near the mid-1970s. Donovan (born 10 May 1946) seems too youthful here for the 1980s - by then he looked a wee bit older. He first released the song early in 1965 when he was still 18 years old.
