You can see the improvement in DE as the season went on-better cuts and running through contact. If Corum returns at full strength and DE continues his maturation-this will be quite the backfield.
He was also like 11 yards short of 1000 yards, while missing I believe 3 games. He had a minor slump this past season & Still had Good season. He the #1 option now, it’s his season for sure!
Edwards is a SOLID running back and pretty damn good out of the flat as a receiver. Man though at 4:08, Krusty the Clown could've driven his Canyonero through that gap!
Ahhhh man I hope edwards can get back to this type of success this season ! I know hey are more balanced as far as spreading out the carries and also passing mroe …but there’s no denying that the don just isn’t himself this year . Still has some solid runs but the not thing the offense seems to lack this year …is those big explosive runs. They have some long passes and Blake is still plowing ahead like expected ..but would love to see just a few more 30 or 40 yarders coming from edwards and corum.!
People don't understand this will be a future 1st round pick. He's phenomenal all over the field. He can block, run very good routes, and run between the tackles. He's physical, has agility and awareness, good hands, and he's fast. He's better than Blake Corum, and I really like Corum.
There are RB right now in the NFL that are the same size as him and doing great in the league. CMC for the 49ers is prime example of that and there’s been guys like Darren Sproles for example to who not only is way shorter then edwards and probably weighed less then edwards and he had phenomenal career in the NFL and let’s not forget Austin Ekeler who went undrafted and is either the same size or smaller then Donovan Edwards and has been really good career thus far with the chargers and in back to back seasons led the league in offensive touchdowns including a 20 total Touchdown season so your opinion that he wouldn’t make it in the NFL is stupid asf when there are currently players and former players at his size or smaller that are, and have been extremely successful in the league. Not every RB that comes into the league has to be built like Derrick Henry or Marshawn lynch in order to have a successful career in the NFL. What edwards did in the championship game is further proof that he has all the skills necessary to be extremely successful in the NFL
