Yeap I leave in NY and I have the same battery tender on the MK5 its a life saver car hasn’t been moved 7 weeks already but it keeps the battery charge
Thanks for the video. Should I unplug it when it's fully charged? or can I just keep plug it in for months? I never drive my Z4 during the winter here in Canada Thanks!
Sorry buddy but your reading the LED display incorrect, 1-4 are auto modes built into the charger, nothing to do with the current charge level of your battery, it's basically the charger putting your battery through some internal checks. Also as mentioned you connected it all up wrong, RED first, then BLACK then power it up !
So if its full do you disconnect it or leave it on for as long as you dont use the car? Also do you advise or do connected everyday i stay in a winter city its cold.. Should i connect it every time i get home or maybe do it every everytine i wont be using the car more then how many days you think 2,3 days?
OMG be very careful, you're doing it wrong - FIRST the red clamp, THEN the black clamp and ONLY THEN connect the charger to the mains !!! (check the manual, i'm not kidding)

Cant even connect leads correctly never mind understands what the lights mean should be kept away from vehicles. Once it gets to full it can recondition the battery cutting power off and adding back on as required. Some cars have a battery control module that discharges the battery and the charger tops it off again. It may be on 7 but if you undo a lead and reconnect it will go straight back down to 3 or 4 as that is 12.4 -12.6v FULL CHARGE. This guy is a fool
