I love how cooper is like “omg I love this so much” and then edwin is like “I’ve been saying this for YEARS” haha I love watching people fall down the billie rabbit hole cause there’s no going back lol can’t wait for the next reactions. And don’t forget the singlessss, they’re all so good!! Even her covers (the end of the world, you don’t get me high anymore, fever…)
I'm surprised at how underrated this EP is. I think it has very good lyrics and impeccable production considering the first set of songs Billie released. Along with Hit Me Hard And Soft, these are my favorite works of hers.
I’ve never truly given Billie enough time of day. I’ll never forget finding her music right around the time this was being released and I just knew she’d blow up. I remember coming across her when she was essentially nobody and now she’s one of the biggest artists in the world. Side note - I absolutely love yalls reactions! Yall are so genuine and it’s fun watching 3 friends just vibe out. I came for the Twenty One Pilots reactions but will definitely stick around for your other videos.
About why she's gotten so good at such an early age is, I think, entirely due the parenting style. Both parents made them read and engage with literature six hours a day. You can't tell, but before they were dumbed down after signing with the labels, they spoke so well in public, their fluency was astonishing. When you go back through her remaining discography, don't forget the in-between songs: when I was older, six feet under, lovely, come out and play, everything I wanted, no time to die, TV, the 30th, and what was I made for. These loose songs got them 4 grammys, 3 brits, 2 globes, and 2 oscars. Not bad, don't you think?
yeah, i've been thinking/saying for, well since her capital fm interviews post "no time to die" brits, she almost says nothing now with some exceptions (howard stern). i think there's some ptsd because when you listen to her stationhead commentary, that kid's still in there but we don't get it anymore because of all the shit she gets from twitter for being candidly herself. she doesn't want the heat. like she said in the 2019 zach sang interview, the internet doesn't deserve her funny ass. can we get a "fuck twitter!"?
Big Big BiFi fan here & I didn't like Mister Cooper at the beginning of Hard and Soft reaction, but now he's the Bad Guy! The expanded 'Don't Smile' release added 'Lovely' one of her billion stream singles and Bitches Broken Hearts. Many of her biggest hits are one-offs, non-album tracks; the Barbie and James Bond songs (both won Oscars), and 'Everything I Wanted' won a Grammy, it's a fav. of mine... Keep going TTC. I know Coops gonna love 'When we All Fall....' oh, she sold the Dodge, electric Porsche now. Thanks!!
Yes please show all the vinyls ❤ i got an amazing press of hit me hard and soft. They are all different as it is recycled vinyl and mine is a beautiful marbled blue and black. Ah btw she recorded a track with Drake when she was younger it's unreleased but leaked. The way she used to talk about him fits the narrative. Fk him
[August 8, 2024] August 11 will the the 7 yr Annivrersary of the DON'T SMILE AT ME" release. You may have read this - Finneas is the sole writer for OCEAN EYES & WATCH on this album; he is the sole writer for the smash hit "WHEN THE PARTY'S OVER" and "MY STRANGE ADDICTION" on the WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP album; He also wrote "6 Ft Under". Billie was 13 when OCEAN EYES came to the public's attention and 14 when she did the video for it and it blew up big. As you know depression/and a dark cloud have often hung over Billie's mood - she wrote "idontwannabeyouanymore" at 15 and also "Listen Before I Go" at 15 [about suicidal ideation] - but it is on the 2019 WWAFAWDWG album. Her performance of it at the Steve Jobs theater in 2019 live on the piano - just Billie, Finneas is standing in the background - is a tearjerker. If the 3 of you had time one day, you could watch "The World's A Little Blurry" directed by R.J. Cutler - it shows her life from about 13 -17/18 when she won the 5 Grammys - only the 2nd artist ever to win the big 4 - Album, Song, Record, New Artist - and first female to do so and the youngest by far - she won another, but Finneas won that night as he also got Producer of the Year, non-classical [January 26, 2020 62nd Grammys, held on the same day that Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna died - that morning ] this affected the mood and stmosphere of the Grammys. P.S. the documentary was $6 on Apple+TV in 2021 - I don't know what the price is today - it is lengthy at 2 hr. 20 min - there is an intermission - but once through it, I think you'll find it was well worth it. August 8, 2024 - FINNEAS's first new song came out today with music video - I liked it a lot.
28:23 no she wasn't friends with artists. Her and finneas loved singing and making music since they were kids. Billies dance teacher at that time knew that and she asked them to make song for dance class and finneas had a written for his band (he had a small band with his friends) wich is ocean eyes and thought it will be better in billies voice so he told her to sing it and then they uploaded it on soundcloud for the teacher to find and it kinda blew up overnight and here they are
You guys have to listen to FINNEAS's solo work. It's very different from Billie, but so good. Start with his Blood Harmony ep. Then his album Optimist. He's dropping his second album this October (4th)
Nadia & Edwin, did you recommend the Music Videos for Hostage and Bellyache to Cooper - for "idontwannabeyouanymore" - I like the COLORS SHOW performance as much as the Vertical Video. I also like the COLORS SHOW "WATCH" better than the music video. The three of you have a very nice review. Nice to see Cooper get (more) interested in Billie. FInneas is a large part of the secret sauce - you recall that they were home schooled, and both have synesthesia like Jimmy Hendrix and other artists - their dad Patrick also has this neurological oddity. Billie is always 2 years younger than the year (until the end of the year) since her B.D. is near the end of the year Dec 18, 2001 - 22 right now in 2024; Finneas's B.D. is July 30, 1997.
Can you guys react to a live performance of Billie please!!!! She’s so good live and sounds exactly like the original when she sings live!! Please please 😂🤭🫶🏻
Maybe you can react to Billie’s Barbie song “what was I made for” and then watch the live version of it at lollapalooza with an audience. She sounds amazing live!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cNzH19D6s_I.htmlsi=c8FAZRa5ObpokTES
I would love to see you guys react to some of the UK music scene. Reason to Smile by Kojey Radical, We’re all alone in this together by Dave and Big Conspiracy by J hus are three albums that I would recommend if you guys were ever interested to some UK rap music 😊
Anyway, you guys can let us watch Cooper reaction to videos from (When we all fall asleep, where do we go ?) Mostly... When the party's over & (You should see me in a crown... (vertical version only) Oh, and... (All the good girls go to hell) Thanks ❤❤❤
