That was awesome! Donzi’s been building these speed machines for so long, and they perfected it! The guy that I used to work for doing boat repair had a 67 Donzi , Red/White, totally restored it, 350 Chevy engine, mercruiser outdrive! Nice little weekend warrior!
Best boat I ever had the pleasure of driving. That was one fun Poker Run, Gene Weeks on throttles and me on the wheel. We were running 105 in 3 to 5 ft seas had a few quick blasts to 115 but we outran every V bottom to the lunch stop.
Donzi looks good but they don’t last, the wiring is horrible and the hull is too thin it cracks after a year on the water. I had one on the tn River that’s why I’m back running another fountain. When ya pay that much for a boat you should never have one issue aka the old century and Chris craft slogan
Mopar For Life 😂 Come on bud! These type of custom boats are the last true hand made American vehicles. No two boats/hulls are laid up the same & no boats no issues period. Not Century & not Chris Craft. As long as you are now happy on the water that’s all that counts... After any poker run you will find the Donzi guys will always be waiting back at the dock for you with a cold one in hand.🍺 They might be 2 to 3 🍻’s in at that point but they will no doubt help you hang a dock line 😜
@werner van gelder Heh absolutely no question hands down because mine cost nothing to operate I can actually afford to put fuel in it and it does bring a smile to my face every time I even think about it the marine wildlife I interacted with on that boat blows my mind.. So you are correct sir I love my little boat.
