Fun fact: there was an old theory that there were two gadgets. After an explosion killed him, gadget was rebuilt as the Inspector but, in reality, the original had survived, though disfigured, and became Dr. Klaw. It would've explained why Penny never got hurt, and how two people can be so incompetent in their missions. This was disproved years after the show ended, when his toy showed his face.
