Wholeheartedly agree, between this and E1M4 (Kitchen Ace and Taking Names), those are two tracks that I automatically think of when I think of Doom.

I don’t know why to a lot of people, metal has to be super noisy and gravelly sounding. Metal can be a very soulful genre, and this is an elegiac, ballad-like song that really demands a more soulful touch, less aggression.

This is the absolute fucking best remake of my true #1 favorite Doom song. The other is The Imp's song, and YOU DID IT BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE, and i have heard lots. Plus, out of the many versions of this song I have heard, yours is the best by a long shot. this is the other half of my comment on the E1M2 video.

Those fuckin' barons along with cyberdemon are the scarriest enemies in original DooM. Barons' shouting and cyberdemon's powerful missle incoming straight to face will shit yout pants.

This track almost sounds a lot like "Pounding Headache" from Wolf 3D to me...I'm assuming there's a few similarities to the tones of those two tracks.

Sorry, my Spanish isn't so good (google translate)! Where is this noise in the music that you are hearing? ~DAR EDIT: Ah, I think I may know what you're referring to. My rhythm guitar tone in this can sound very scratchy/noisy at times. I do plan to redo this cover one day once I've finished my other DOOM Marathons!

Good question! If I remember correctly, I did try to closely follow the original MIDI, and only added in the new lead guitar and drum parts toward the end (which is where things feel faster than the original). I can't speak for the other musicians, but I did this faster-feeling bit to have a bit of fun and to spice things up for my rendition of this tune. ~DAR
