i am loving how you tellthe stories of the codex. thats how i found your work actually, i wanted someone to read the codex so i didnt have to do all that reading myself cause of a few issues when i read a lot of text mytself it causes massive eye strain and i cant really remember most of what i read like 80% of a page of a novel ill forget when i get to the bottom of that one page but when i hear it audiably i can retain it and follow it

Doom has ByF approved lore now, those guys at Id have done well for themselves. Now that they've summoned the Loremaster they have a long term responsability to keep expanding and deepening the lore, let's hope they are up to the task. They've now become truly Eternal.

amazing lore video, but in your gameplay, quickswitch to another weapon, then back to super shotgun when stunning the marauder. Shotty to stun, quickswitch to balista and fire, quickswitch back to super shotty and hit again. You cant get 7 shots off this way and kill him in two stuns. Ive done it on stream on nightmare and it makes him incredibly easy. again, freaking amazing and well done lore video. thanks!

It would be great to see videos covering both doom slayers arsenal and gaming’s greatest army of darkness: the demons of doom, however I think we all want to know more about that demonic corpse found in the pool you swim in at Urdak. So yeah my vote goes for the Maykrs of Urdak as your next video.

Keep the Doom content up ! I know other channels exist and they dissect the doom lore awesomely but you have a certain style that people enjoy. Been watching since Destiny 1 !

Doom slayers history kinda, definitely major differences but the core concept of it is in their, sounds like the entire history of the imperium of man. He was at peace in the beginning, then he went to war against an unknown foe, thought to be done only to go to war again, and again going to war against the demons, thought to find a peace of prosperity and calm with the sentinels only to engage in war again, during his age of war an act of betrayal of sentinels and the very gods the sentinels believed in were fakes, and on their crusade against the traitors a sentinel swayed by darkness betrayed them and left their kingdom and way of life destroyed, but the slayer fights on and any memories of peace and prosperity are long forgotten with nothing but war and hate guiding his every move. After all their is no peace, there is only war.

Byf, what you said about hubris, you couldn't any more right if you tried. As Abraham Lincoln once said "Nearly all men can face adversity. To truly test a man's character, give them power." Sadly there have been plenty of content creators I've turned my back on because of this that I once looked up to and it breaks my heart that fame has twisted them, even if the show of that is very subtle. Most of the time it reminds me of your Last Word versus Thorn video you daid which honestly is still one of my favorites.

As much as I love his destiny content, I can’t dislike stuff like this and his video on his opinions of Outriders, he can just so easily step into the worlds he is playing in giving the lore that extra bit of wonder that it deserves

(Spoilers ahead) I have been collecting everything I can get my hands on but I haven’t taken a look at the lore logs. I really hope when I do or when you get around to it, you can fully connect Doom to eternal and to any other cannon games. Just because in eternal he has the classic doom guy helmet from doom 1-3D but in 2016 it is the slayer armor and same as eternal. But either way, love the branching content. ❤️

All these barbarians, blood sports and religious changing/adopting make it sound like “Uredak” was based on Ancient Rome

Things like this appeal to us, I think, because we have still recorded in our genetic memory , a lost time of a golden age. But, More to the point of the argenta, I thought it was at least implied in the Doom universe that they are humans? That humanity actually originates from that world and when they went out into the stars with their fleet they seeded human civilization
