I think it's also super memorable because the first time it plays is so fucking well synced to the first Hell Knight you encounter bursting out of the door at you.
2:42 Mick's idea for Doom's music is so simple yet so incredibly effective: give the original, iconic soundtrack have a much, much deeper pitch, and it naturally will sound more violent and intense.
My favorite thing about a lot of mick's doom music is how the music he appears to base it off of is connected with it's themes on purpose or VERY acute coincidence. For example, "BFG division" has a part that appears to be a nod to the song "Seizure of Power" by Marilyn Manson. the coincidence being that the song was made for the Resident Evil movie, specifically used in the scene where the group of people get minced by the laser corridor. what's the BFG protected by in doom 2016? A laser grid that can chop you to pieces. The main riff in this song appears to be a nod to the song "Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against the Machine. One of the main repeating lines in the song is "They rally 'round the family! With a pocket full of shells!", the coincidence being that the meathook in doom eternal is attached to the super shotgun, which, obviously, uses shotgun shells for ammunition.
In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood. He chose the path of perpetual torment. In his ravenous hatred he found no peace, and with boiling blood, he scoured the umbral plains, seeking vengeance against the dark lords who had wronged him. And those that tasted the bite of his sword named him… The DoomSlayer.
I thought it would be a good idea to have this on while I redid my voicemail. Now my voicemail has me sounding like I'm introducing everyone to the gates of hell.
theres two types of people, Meathook, or Bfg division. i feel that bfg division is more cinematic, and will make you feel like the main character who spouts fear in everyone around him. and then meathook, where you are the fear. it just gives such a powerful feeling, like you could fight Godzilla and not break a sweat. like you could take a right hook from mike tyson and smile after it. it just gives you so much energy, and makes you want to beat the ever loving fuck out of whatever is around you to a mushy pulp.
yo si tuviera dinero, buscaria su cuenta de banco en que creo la musica de siglo y le daria mas de 200,000 dolares, o 400M de pesos dominicanos, y si posible hackear su fondo para poner Doom enternal xd
what the quiet kid listen to: Edit: How the hell did this become the most liked even more than the pinned comment? Another edit: nvm the pinned comment has more than me now
